And there is now 'Say intensions' and 'Beyond ATC' to add even more immersion. A great time to be siming

@mcshiggitypilot5901

As a real world Private Pilot, this is a great way for folks to learn all about VFR flight rules and flight plans (Im in USA)

@Hellmut195612

I used to fly GA planes, Bonanza with V-tail, C182rg, Cessna 310, all the types they had at the flying school. A very good friend of mine had a part-ownership of the Bonanza and as my job got me to fly to the USA once a quarter we shared many great flights. Now he has moved from San Jose to Hawaii and his health does not allow him to fly a real plane anymore. I am pensioned now and do not have the economics to continue flying real planes. We together decided to fly using MSFS2020, he in Hawaii and me in the south of Germany. The focus of flying with MSFS2020 is to have an immersive feel and to refresh my ATC knowledge and praxis. So a three-monitor setup, a Brunner yoke, and the Thrustmaster TRP pedals are meant to get as close as achievable to get the real feel. Now ATC and proper flight planning and chart tools will hopefully immerse me into flying and develop skills I was lacking.

@paulrhead1

Brilliant I.just switched back to GA and forgot how satisfying it is especially in VR. This will be a great refresher many thanks

@xraycharli

Your videos are far out the best for all Simaviators. Thank you for your work. Since 1982 with flightsim and since then also working in aviation since today.

@sascenturion

Great stuff mark ... Very interesting and informative...looking forward to this series 😊👍

@pthine1

nice video Mark as a pilot in Canada since 1971 its sometimes nice to have reminders now and then. Looking forward to the next in the series.

@erikkuppens5927

what a wonderful hobby, love it !!

@bradleybelisle5554

Well done Mark. Love your videos and your teaching spirit. Keep up the great effort!

@kenbarthSimAV8tor

I've always wanted to be a pilot and I usually fly the deHaviland Beaver with amphibias loats eh! Always enjoy your videos and info.Stay well Mark 👍

@zenair250

Another great and informative video Mark

@JenniferinIllinois

The current version of the sim is the first one that I have actually attempted to learn proper procedures (and fly airliners). Been flying virtually since subLOGIC Flight Simulator II on a Commodore 64 and always just flew around randomly. Of course the current sim makes GA flying amazing and most of my flying is still GA. I do use Navigraph/Simbrief for nearly all my flights though. Crazy how we have nearly every possible chart available to us for a minimal cost.

@dpanastasiou

Very informative as always Mark. Keep up the good work.

@delalima

excellent video , very informative

@jonmabec

Very nice! Quick tip: if you click and drag on the route line you can drag it to whichever point you want. A bit quicker than having to select a point and defining before or after. This will also snap the line to nearby points of interests. This is very similar to how Skyvector does it.

@chrisvowell2890

Great video! Like many older flightsimmers, I can no longer afford the expense of real GA flying (or a very likely fail on my medical!) so flightsimming, especially in MSFS, is a very acceptable substitute. It's also great for keeping one's flying skills sharp, particularly navigation which Navigraph does well. I just hope that the recent AI programs for ATC comms become equally 'as good as it gets' as real world flying!

@conlethbyrne4809

Excellent video on navigation. Slainte, Mark ❤

@chrisbarker5336

Awesome video and will be following the vfr series. Would be great with beyondatc when they implement vfr.

@vecnejhipik5349

My left ear enjoyed this :)
