Thank you for this Jess. I'm a new channel (4 months old) so I felt like this was SUPER helpful. I'm at 888 watch hours, and it feels like 4,000 is SO. FAR. AWAY. I think more realistic videos such as these helps put it in perspective (even if it's impossible to gauge due to RPM, CPM, niche, etc). Happy I'm one of your subscribers <3

You popped up on my homepage! It is wonderful that you are sponsored for this video, too. You are doing more than well. People underestimate how much work and dedication this requires. Only about 0.25% of YouTube channels make money, including those who earn only a penny from ad revenue. You have to build up sponshorship sources, affiliate revenue, possibily products and/or services on top of teaching yourself everything from understanding what audience to target, how to retain them while being true to yourself.
