This tutorial is fantastic, I've used this along with your contouring tutorial to design a v-neck style bodice for my prom dress. However I made one small change. Following this tutorial the dart I ended up with was too close to the centre front. I would suggest to someone that has the same problem to measure from the highest point of one breast to the other, half that and mark that distance along the bust line from center front. Then you can use that mark as the point of your dart. Thats how I did it :) Thanks for the tutorial! Truly helpful :)

To every single person complaining, youre never going to find a pattern-making tutorial as explicit and accurate as this,, I can guarantee that no other free pattern will provide you with the size customisation freedom this video has. Even if it is a bit fast, stop complaining when theres literally the easiest change playback speed fix smh. This is literally fantastic

@krismorrell

That was the first bodice pattern making tutorial I’ve seen that made SENSE! Thank you!!

@hannahengling5255

This is a wonderful tutorial! It's the most clear and concise instructions I've been able to find anywhere. I paused the video after each measurement and took a screenshot, so I can just flip through them when I'm making the pattern. Thank you!

@user-nt6zq4ft4j

This is the best I’ve seen. Detailed but not boring, has good visual aids and u describe everything so well. This was amazing

@tiffanyjelsma6010

This is the best tutorial I’ve ever seen! I didn’t feel like anything was over my head or beyond my skill set. Definitely subscribing!

@MistedMysogi

You make the most headache part in 3 minute video that is easy to understand and attractive to get full attention. Thank you so much, I wish you all the best for your career

@theindomitableblackman

It's times like this that i wish i paid attention in geometry... i mean i passed but still...

@mrs.ladylesure2254

This was like watching a large algebra problem but I got it. Thank you much!!!! 👌🏾

@xellimato

omg!! I've been wanting to pattern for a long time but it felt so overwhelming and this made it feel so much more doable!!

@GardenYourHeartOut

This is for beginners? I have no hope for sewing now.

@keniacorniel-dipiglia2620

I gave her a like even though I dint understand it yet, because she seems to be very knowledgeable of what she is doing

@Penguinandpear

Hi Elewa, I have just created my front and back slopers for the first time following your tutorial. I am not overly confident I had my measurements completely correct but I will make a toile and see how it fits. I struggled to follow either the video or blog post along, but with them both it worked so thanks for that extra work.

@elewa4072

For those of you who feel the video is too fast. Click the settings button under the video and change the speed to 0.5 or 0.25. Good luck!

@jennyp4934

I liked this, simple and to the point. So many people complicate the issue and make it harder than it needs to be. Thank you.

@jacquelineabron4707

OMG. I have never seen it explained like this. You provided do much detail and illustrations. Thank you so much for simplifying the process for me.

@djenecamara8346

I’ve been struggling for days you’re a genius

@TheAtlstorm

This tutorial was fantastic. Exactly what I was looking for. Please keep up the great content

@andreaisanis6873

I had NEVER done a proper pattern & I have to say, this was the easiest thing ever. The way you explain things just make the most sense 💖 thank you!

@QuynhNguyen-dr5sq
