@codipherus66

Know this: This won't affect the rich kids. Let that sink in.

@rudyq891

Anyone who has taken a high school history class. Know that we have done this before and it did not work. This is to help rich corporations and their rich children who don’t have to work.

@AkiyamaKatsuko

Politicians who vote for this nonsense should be required to have their children work alongside these child labor laws to set an example.

@danieldelewis2448

No.
Kids have their whole lives ahead of them to work like animals for next to no pay. Im 41, I had to stop going to school entirely at 15 in order to work to help support my family. I regret it. Teaching kids responsibility is one thing , but this is not that one thing. This is BS

@wardrobelion

It's ridiculous that ANYONE should have to work more than 4 hours without taking a break, whether paid or not. Florida is a hot climate and with most in a/c so much of the time it could be detrimental to their health to not take a drink break or even bathroom break.

@howardj602

I began working at age 14, (illegally) in a factory, pushing a coffee cart, through the work areas in 1954. I worked 4 hours daily and 6 on Sat. For 50 cents an hour. Minimum wage was 75 cents.
  During those 2 years I was on the scene when on two different occasions people fell to their deaths. when a safety cage used on a freight elevator failed to close. I also personally witnessed, one woman who had both her hand severed by a stamping machine, and another woman was crushed between a pillar, and a backing fork lift, (before the days of back up horns). Because of the noise of the stamping machines, she never heard me screaming at her to get out of the way. All before I reached 16th birthday.
I was robbed of my childhood, and did not get to enjoy high school because I had to be at work directly from class dismissal. I also grew up very fast.
Just for the record: There are over 100 deaths, and 14,000 injuries to children and adolescents annually, on U.S. family farms now. No need to increase it.

@TorrenceWAllen

I can bet not one republican , definitely not the governor,that voted to pass this discriminatory bill will have their children working like this.

@minsky3462

They want to exploit our children . We need to keep our labor laws in place . Children work to help themselves to buy their necessities. My children are not slaves and they are not working to be exploited by employers.

@Godmade050

You people are insane

@MrFlatlandcycle

That's a whole new meaning for "Children of the Corn." Those pesky kids took our jerbs.

@patuca1023

DeSantis is trying to fill those spots left by Immigrants!! He said it!!

@Brittany8575

As a Floridian, I do not support this and I did not vote for Trump. So we are not all like this.

@Lurchkönig

Wait. Ending guaranteed meal breaks for Adolescents...
Are you telling me Florida doesng have guaranteed meal breaks for adults?

@tavellcoops

I cant see conservatives as humans bro

@modogo3635

Let Trump's grandchildren start first.

@willardramos5232

Bad idea.

@Swampwitch_001

To many mosquito bites have infected their brains

@backitup5954

Back to seeing kids lose their hands on machines and equipment again.

@UmQasaann

Thank God I'm not in Florida

@hybridPeople358

When your kids get arrested in school, where do you think they're going after.
