i think it depends entirely on the app that you have built..yes you can make an app that can make you rich quickly..the hardest part is coming up with an idea of such an app.
I think this is true for the western developers where they can make 100k by freelancing or a job but for a developer in India apps can make a lot as the earnings are in dollars.
I made a free bus schedule app for my small town and it makes finding a job really easy. It's worth it just for this. But I also like the bragging rights π
Even though my first app wasn't about making money, it really taught me a lot over the last few years. It's a soundboard about a YouTuber I still really like watching and at its peak it had about 30k users. First it dropped interest to about 20k. Now after 6 years and some time since the last update (1-2 years) the user count dropped to about 7k. Even keeping up with content updates gets pretty hard, when your priorities change over time. But I'm glad I've done it and still love working on the code once in a while π
It's related to the app content and users niche. Developpers try to build small app to grow up their portfolio but building app that make you riche it's possible but you need idea and time, it's not just about coding,(strategy, conception, updates, ux, marketing...). By the way there are developers hwo make thousands of π΅ by month.
Yeah, it's worth having an app in the store just to showcase it to the potential employers - uploading it as a money maker you would need a well defined product that brings good value to the user which is hard to build on your own.
This video is spot on! Books like The Secret Doctrine of Wealth offer more value than years of college. Itβs all about self-education.
Apps are another way to sell service basically, scaled by tech but lots of maintenance work along the way .
I learned all of that the hard way. Thanks for making vids like these. It helps young devs to do better than we did
I cannot agree more, apps become lucrative when combining the best tech & best marketing , building apps alone yield into cold traffic, and no traction
I got 1 million downloads app organically lol but sadly that console got suspended π
True bro... An app developer put so much effort in app concept, there designing & developement but what after that... it's just your personal project ntgh else... apart from that... the youtubers put little effort to make a video... and through that video he starts earning more than an app earn in his whole life.... in here I'm talking abt admob ads... which pays only few cents for year
My app has 10M+ downloads without marketing, but I guess these days it's no longer realistic to do this.
Thank you, brother. Very well said!!
Negativity and pessimism, ignore
sure its the hardest way, but its also the only way to scale up your income
i dont care if i dont enjoy the progress because everything i do for work automatically becomes boring and thats acceptable. and my recommendation is dont watch critics because they'll make you second guess yourself on everything and you wont ever lock in on something completely. they exist everywhere you look on youtube. become as delusional as possible if it ignites a fire because you wont hurt anybody and as long as you work on a useful skill youre not wasting your time, dont focus on the people that have failed or the ones telling you to not pursue something. any successful person ever who has overcome the odds wouldnt be where they are today if they wouldve listened to those people.
Here in Canada we have a lot of pre-seed and seed investment firms who are specialized in tech startups
One of most honest content on apps. I mostly agree with you, all you have said should be considered before having such unrealistic belief.
