My Mama wore her hair like this back around 1943-44 in Baton Rouge, LA. She used (clean) men's crew socks as rag curlers, rolled under, and flat beer for the setting lotion. She has fine, thin hair and says it worked like a charm! ;) LOVE your channel, btw! :)))

Thank you for reminding us all what glamour was all about in the past and all the fun beauty trends in hair and makeup that really should be revived. I have learned so much about the history, so fascinating. Starting with my Mom’s vintage Stratton compact case and lipstick holder from the 50’s, I started collecting Stratton compacts after watching one of your videos. I’ve since learned my Mom’s set is rare according to an expert in England.
