@grumblycurmudgeon

That was SO close to being an effective, good idea...

@ObviousPizza547

The jig is beautiful for keeping your angle but I wouldn’t add the drill or at least not in a configuration like this 2 much vibration, 2 short of a stroke and will dig a hole into your sharpening stone

@richardtanner7156

Or, spend an hour or two learning how to do it purely by hand, quicker and easier and much more satisfying.

@jackmcslay

ditch the drill, put a drawer handle on the grind stone holder, that way you just pull it back and forward with a much better controllable speed.

@hotmic4045

I like this, but I’m American, so I’ll do it backwards. Stationary stone with the blade holder connected to the drawer slides along the sides of the stone. Downward blade pressure controlled by your hands. Thanks for the ideas.

@PiuDas-f6u4l

I like this woodworking book Lucas four two Bond. A few of the topics discussed in the book include woodworking strategies, description on the progress cycles of trees, and different lumber features that carpenters favor. I actually had to get a second copy for my father.

@mauricecohen3830

Is it realy worth the effort?

@PujaRoy-pl9gr

The book is very detailed, Lucas four two Bond. Through the help of this plan, I was able to utilize words, drawings, real photos and different diagrams. It is really an interesting product. I`m presently making furniture along with my sibling and thanks to this product, I feel like assisting him is possible.

@dashriprock5720

That will just wear a groove across the stone

@jacobblumin4260

You may have a good idea here but you must present it much, much more slowly. A fraction of a second for each operation is not adequate. But thanks for the idea.

@MakerBoyOldBoy

Please research Rube Goldberg devices. This thing certainly qualifies.

@rocky69446able

Hey bro. I have been searching for a help. If I may ask can you show us how to do a jig ?

@sriyantra1939

Every house needs for kitchen knives.....
Modify for the kitchen....

@justgoballistic

With the drill, this would be great for a spray paint shaker.

@NargisGilani-l9t

One of the BEST jig - after years of wandering!!!

@danieldhavas

Mirá si voy a hacer semejante despliegue para afilar un formón 😅

@XPEHb

Wow, humanity invented sharpening machine! Again.

@carmgitto

Went too far, the drill mechanism was too much. As another comment, using only an inch of the stone.

@mikedunn7795

Not enough time showing device being used!

@timonwittwer9471

No, this is stupid. You are only using 1 inch of the stone. This will make a hole into the Stone. You have to change the position every time
