Being a huge Boston Bruins fan during the 1970s, I absolutely hated Guy Lafleur and the entire Canadian team.
During that time, the Bruins couldn't win a  game in Montreal for what seemed to be decades. This was the main reason Montreal would knock the Bruins out of every playoff series. 
Looking back now, Guy Lafleur was miles ahead of all the NHL player's, with his speed, stick handling and shooting talent no one was better.

If you were at a game in the Montreal Forum, and Guy Lafleur touched the puck, everyone moved to the edge of their seats because there was an anticipation that something might happen, and often, something did.
