This the first time I want to write comments here( in this movie) .last 30 minutes was amazing and I felt I was there and feel the whole pain. It was really realistic.

Outstanding effort for a low budget movie!! The acting, the dialogue, the pathos, the casual callousness, and the intermittent acts of and reinforcement of human decency ALL rang true. Not a false moment in this movie. The characters shown here are an honest cross section of the sort of men who have been inured by the brutality of combat in the Mediterranean Theatre, particularly in the grueling attritional fighting that occurred as the Allies attempted to break out of the Liri Valley in 1943 before Monte Cassino. Kudos to the authenticity of the equipment, costumers, and tactics depicted in this show. Hollywood could learn a few lessons from this production!!!

If you don't speak German don't worry, by the end you'll realise you understood everything . About how humanity can find it's way into even the darkest of corners. A powerful statement & movie.

HOld my beer, This movie was 5 Stars, The sound is very very good, the costume are wow! the movie is excellent. i was very surprised to find such a gem on youtube. i keep this one in my favorite list.

Who woulda thunk,huh? Little,unknown film made in a Missouri cave turned out to be an EXCELLENT work of art. Great job to all those involved in the production and presentation of this buried treasure. You earned a “like”.

For a low budget movie this was one of the best in acting. Some desend accents, natural German and all. A complex story of pow's made interesting, well done!

As a combat Veteran myself, have to say this is the finest, most accurate film I have ever watched. My uncle served in WW II. A sergeant in the US Army, he participated in the Italian and German campaigns. Was in combat most of the time; e.g., the various platoons in which he was assigned got wiped out three times. He would reluctantly tell me stories about his war days that matched what was going on in this film. His biggest fear at the fronts, what he called the "88's" (German artillery). WW II really messed him up. A good but troubled man.

Didn’t know what to expect but this one got me hooked. Surprised myself how much it struck a nerve. Barely crossed my mind the abuse, and threat of death POWs faced esp. after surrendering to Western Allies who generally respect rules of war. sadly I’m sure there were multiple incidents like this, but not in all cases was restraint shown. Props to the actor Jake Powers (Rowe) for playing that role so well

Probably, the most outstanding low-budget movie I've ever seen. Excellent acting, directing, customs, etc. The only thing it would make it even better is more money but every penny was excellently used.
