Property taxes, higher insurance is also forcing current homeowners to sell
In 1955, my Grandfather bought a house for $20,000. In 1965, he sold that home for $20,000. That was before the U.S. housing market was perverted in (I would argue) the 1990's with explosive suburban, 'model home' growth. A home is a place to live, not an investment.
I am an Agent. All of the data he has presented is 100% accurate and known in our industry
All house prices cut in half or more would be a good start.
It doesn’t matter if your home value plummets if you don’t intend to sell. In fact, it could reduce your property taxes.
BABYLON FINISHED!!!
Millions of Americans are grappling with a worsening rental crisis, driven by rising rents, stagnant wages, inflation, and the growing unaffordability of housing. As a result, many are struggling to save, and homeownership—once key to building wealth and ensuring financial stability—is becoming increasingly out of reach for the middle class. The dream of owning a home is fading for more people as the situation worsens.
Doctor Doom! He's our man! If he can't scare us, no one can!
what about home owners insurance and property taxes rising to high un affordable levels.
Mr Doom, we thank you for your insight!
I haven't watched an Epic Economist video in at least 10 months. I saw this pop up and decided I need me some real doom and gloom content with professional narration, and this video did not disappoint! What a refreshing change from the typical stuff I have been watching lately!
Take it from an old man..... If the price of your home drops, don't worry unless you are selling. If the prices drop it's time to buy.
In addition to high home costs cell Salaries have not kept pace with the rise in pricing
Young people can't even afford to rent. And rents will continue to rise.
The potential for X-AI19c is massive
Riots coming
