This man doing more for unity in America than any diplomat.
I completely get why this woman feels more freedom. As women, it is exhausting to present yourself to the world on a daily basis. Not only do I feel this woman is bada$$ but she is a symbol of strength. Her energy is so independent. It is a shame the perception is that she is oppressed. I wish I had her courage.
Great questioning, Peter! Every time I found myself mentally responding with clarifying questions to her responses, you asked identical clarifying follow-ups bouncing through my brain at different points in this video. This engagement is fascinating and highly complex, giving me much to consider, especially regarding my bias toward Islamic culture. Well done!
I am Jewish and practicing. I know this is an old video but I'd be happy to be her pen pal. Love your videos Peter. I live in Miami, FL
I’m Jewish. May Allah bless you for staying true to your beliefs and your true modesty both inside and out. Peace and love always and you’re welcomed to our home on the sabbath anytime.
Looking at the comments here, this is a much-needed series. I've never seen so much judgment. This woman is too religious. She's not religious enough. On and on. I don't remember comments like this on either your Hasidic or your Amish series. Muslims in this country face a lot of discrimination. I look forward to learning more about this community. Thank you so much for doing this.
Dear Peter, I love the way you interview people. It seems very relaxing.
Peter you deserve all the success in the world for making the world a better place. Your outstanding work makes posible for people like me that knows nothing about many different cultures be able to get inside cultures and peoples points of view. Thank you for working in making a more united and loving world.
When I see a woman in a niqab where I live, NYC, I treat her as I treat everyone. Basically pay no attention ❤️ and respect her.
Exploring Native American communities would be interesting! Looking forward to the Muslim series!
How about interviewing someone that was born into the religion? Being born into one and choosing a religion is completely different.
What an interesting perspective, there's so much judgement in society I can see why this lady feels freedom. Yet again I have learnt so much by watching these videos. Personally for me as a partially deaf person who wears a hearing aid, I feel I would struggle to communicate, as I rely on lip reading for the most part. I once sat on a plane with a lady who wore a niqab, you could feel the tension on that flight, I decided to introduce myself to the lady who was very well educated and graciously offered some of her food to me, which I took and it was delicious! That was one of the most relaxing flights I have ever taken and thankfully she sat on my good side so I could hear her perfectly!
Imagine leading a life where you don’t have to worry about your makeup, hairstyle, relationship, social status, popularity, likes and followers on instagram...
I'm so glad my father raised me to accept others as themselves and not be closed minded or judgemental, a persons heart n soul should be the only thing that defines them, growing up in Minneapolis, there were people from all over the world, very deversified place

I totally want to see that video of her going to Brooklyn and meeting the women of the Hasidic community - that would be awesome! And I love her spirit, being so open and wanting to interact with other religions.
Important to note that the mosque in the background is a Shia mosque. They have different beliefs and rules than the Sunni.
Thank you Peter. This is a great video. Loves from Türkiye.
