@jtbkerns

Poor management, favoritism, bad behaviors, no accountability, not feeling like you can trust anyone, not feeling protected by a hostile workplace, backlash,

@erockbrox8484

I think the key problem to a toxic work place is when:

- They don't value you
- They don't treat you right
- They are not friendly
- They treat you like a number
- They treat you like you are disposable
- They don't care about your success as an employee
- They don't care about your input as an employee

@nicholebondurant9788

I left my toxic job after multiple health issues thinking I was the problem. Thanks for this video bc now I know I made the right choice for me.

@Beautiful_Days9249

Disrespected, bullied, work sabotaged, set up to fail, feeling like you cannot trust management, gaslighting by management, retaliation, high turn over, lack of communication/no direct communication, low accountability, lack of training, having to hide equipment with other departments stealing yours, rude, and now retaliation for weeks and set up to fail. So getting out of there.

@marthawhite3353

The thing is, there are SO many toxic jobs. Weak managers, back stabbing coworkers, nasty, insulting women, shouting even. I don't remember jobs being so awful as they are in the last few years. What has happened to us? I love to work, but these behaviors are exhausting.

@dartmoorlass

This resonates with me. I was a target for a bullying Supervisor for several months. The more I achieved, the worse the bullying and humiliating behaviour became from her. My colleagues witnessed it, the Manager above observed it. Yet nothing was said and they all enabled her bad behaviour. Isolating me was one of her tactics and I felt completely alone. I tried talking to her one to one to try and resolve the issue. The result? She just denied everything and told me I was being too sensitive. I toughed it out for months and finally quit when I found another job. The ironic thing is when I quit, the colleagues who had been working with this Supervisor for years told me that this was a pattern of behaviour and one person (always a woman) was always chosen by this Supervisor to target and that I was one in a long line of employees to suffer and ultimately leave. Can't describe how traumatising this experience is. I consider myself a strong character, but as this video says, it affects you greatly. Physically and mentally. My heart goes out to others who are or have experienced this.

@joylynch5204

Paused the video and counted 22 toxic traits from that chart at my job. Put my notice in earlier today.

@livthedream5885

Can we finally admit that most “work” is meaningless bs that creates depression which spirals into a total toxic environment.

@Chris-tg3qy

In my experience, coworkers are actually more toxic than bosses. The problem is that bosses expect coworkers to work things out and handle it which is also a form of toxic denial. That is not a very fair position for a new employee. Bosses actually need to keep their ears and eyes open and be brave enough to handle the office bullies. They are not interested in adding that to their workload, but it is their job to ensure employees feel safe to do their jobs and not threatened by coworkers.

@davidellis5141

Hi Jennifer ! My " chronic " bronchitis & sleep " disorder " both became things of the past when I left a job of 10 years for a newer job with a higher position & better pay & a friendly boss. I'll never forget how refreshing life seemed in all aspects after leaving a place of misery for one of optimism. Life sure is better when you wake up excited about the day & not dreading the day. Thanks Jennifer !

Job after job after job... Toxic Toxic Toxic

@doubled3962

When I asked for help at my work .. I got laughed at 😢
And I was the person who helps everyone ..
in process of retirement now 😊

@anniesshenanigans3815

off the top of my head ALL my coworkers agree: Low pay, Profits over People, policies that are inconsistent and ignored, high turnover.. the rest of those things support it.

@user-rp9jg3kw1d

Such an accurate description of being in a toxic job.

@charlesedwards4160

I'm glad I'm 53. At 55 I'm retiring. Fook off world.

@user-vi4xl2tj3z

This video is so bang on accurate I’m in disbelief and validated to the point of being near tears. Now I just wish I had the energy to look for something else, I just feel so stuck yet too exhausted to look for anything else and confidence so shaken at the same time. Your channel has been so relatable. Thank you.

@wildnfrantic1015

Maybe it's just me, but I've found the bigger the company/ organisation, the more toxic it is. I've just left my job after 25 years and hadn't realised how toxic things had become, but more so, how miserable I'd become. Only now that I'm out of it can I see things for how they were - your video really hits home

@colejohnson

It’s quite the scary thought realizing just how much everything is linked to each other. When sleep and “normal” humaning (whatever this even means) starts becoming scattered and frantic, I place a lot of shame on myself for feeling exhausted and not into life if you will.

Always appreciate when you mention that someone may mean well, but when they haven’t experienced a toxic job the experience just won’t land with them in the same way.

@mrscatfacepotatospeaker1879

I left my employer after 7 years of exactly what you described. Every bit of it. I took a cut in pay, but found a much better place to work at and am so much happier. However, the self doubt and paranoia of not trusting others is still with me. Educating videos such as this one helps me understand myself more. I am hoping to work through this.

@Astral_Dusk

Life is short, don't tolerate them for too long. Yes it will eat at your soul throughout the years.
Most of the time, if they go on for months like this - the situation is settled in stone, written, needing a change of path.
