Hey, just cut a little cresent slice off each side of the tube and your done, good rule of thumb is 1/3 the tubing diameter for the depth of the cut, no knife edges to be ground down , ready to weld in less then a minute depending on the tubing.

Great jig to make with my Everlast welder. I've got an Everlast plasma cutter too but I can't too much information on how to notch tubes with it.
