People working in government as apolitical are the government of the people and by the people. They work for the people, not the elected officials. The bureaucracy is at the top where the spoils or rewards to big campaign donors are given out. They are expected to change with new presidential administrations. The very qualified workers themselves who are dedicated to serving the people of which they are part stay on since they are highly qualified and productive and carefully monitored to do their best, contrary to the false information that has been used against them by greedy corporations that want to take over their work as they contribute to campaign funds so they get lucrative and wasteful contracts.

Why are we vilifying federal workers???? Those are American jobs - the federal government is one of the largest employers. And so many industries in this country are subsidized by federal funding/grants - what do people think is going to happen when all of that is taken away??? So idiotic and terrible 😢
