8 rounds of interviews is insane. i just interviewed yesterday and the decision is made by one 15 minute phone screen...
Glad you got a job. Was worried.
I'm happy for you. Congratulations.
Congratulations! π
I am exhausted. I have been looking for a job for 8 months. Applied to 300 jobs and 10 interviews. π’ Having a baby soon too. I donβt know what else to do. Congratulations!! π I am so happy for you. β€
Really like your videos. Waiting to see what you do next! :)
Congrats!!!
Nice, good luck
I'm so glad that you got it! They should give you a pension for making you go through all those interview rounds!
P.S: Congrats. Chicago would be a great place to work. Years ago I spent 3 months there going to a school for an employer, and lived in a hotel just off Rush street. One of the best times of my life.
Congratulations! So, since you got 6 HR phone screens and 4 were referals, does that mean out of all the cold applications you only heard back from 2?π€π€π€
Just curious, how many years of experience did you have already? I graduated with a CS degree months ago with no experience, I've kind of just given up. Even for junior positions, you compete with people with 2-3 years experience
8th round?? That's sickening to be honest. It's not that bad here, or at least not yet. But I won't even entertain and seriously move industries if comes to that lol, that's just a circus. I really hope it gets better there..
What job, though???
Congrats Becca, There are 3 levels btw -> 1) job 2) career 3) calling, so can't wait to see you try to reach your calling :face-blue-smiling:
How did you manage to find those 4 referrals? was it by DMing recruiters on Linkedin?
