You were one of the irrepressibly brilliant minds in science and engineering that inspired me as a kid. Today, I'm an aerospace engineer, and it is so deeply fulfilling. I met my wife through work, bought my house through work; so much good in my life is because of those who guided me down this path. There are so many just like me. So many who have so much because of the life you led. RIP Grant, you built a better future... and kickass robotics!! You earned your bench space at the Great Workshop In the Sky. One day, I hope to do the same. You will be remembered.
I just wanted to say how sad it is that Grant has left us. Such a great guy, an entertainer and a scholar. He will be missed. :(
I always loved MythBusters especially as a child, it's so sad Grant is gone. Well he we'll be always with us in our memories.
Its weird how we all went back to watching Grant's video's now he's gone.
I was intrigued when i saw it was Mr. Imahara, had to watch. It has given me some inspiration!
Pretty cool, but why does the home of the future come with a massive Ford pickup truck? That's hardly the future of anything
I don't think the house of the future is all about technology and connection, it's all about energy and self-sufficiency.
RIP grant! You inspired countless lives including myself to get out there and tinker! Thanks for impacting all of our lives in a positive way!
We all know why we are here again
Rest in peace, Grant. He seemed like such a nice and intelligent person
The passing away of Grant brought me here. Never knew that he has a show too with the Verge. Rip to such a charismatic guy.
My life is forever changed thanks to you man...
So many people paying tribute to Grant and they can't say enough good things about him. Says a lot about the kind of person he was. May God be with his family and friends, and rest his soul.
Rest In Peace Grant. I first saw you on Mythbusters 10+ years ago. You’ve inspired me and countless others to pursue their goals and work hard, yet to also have fun whilst doing it. We will all miss you. 😔❤️
I just can't believe this. You inspire me everyday. Rest in Peace
The real home of the future is like "people can buy it"
Rest In Peace big guy. Thank you for the entertainment in my childhood and for helping the world be a better place ❤️
I studied architecture at University of Cincinnati and still actively work with remodeling and designing homes. The common thing I often see is the lack of air tight sealing of the home which provides huge long term benefits, followed by lack heavy of insulation. other things that would be interesting at this point would be humidity management, air filteration, advanced water systems (filtering, recycling ect), use of solar for not only power but heat / hot water collection, bonus points for concentrated solar setup. I didn't see a garage or port with the house, many other upgrades really depends on location.
RIP Grant, you helped satisfy many of my childhood curiosities 💚💛🧡
