5K2K 39" 240Hz 1800R is what we want!!!!
I totally agree that 800R curvature is too much. I think 1800R is as far as I want to go.
Thanks for including monitor PPI in your videos. While it seems only natural to do so, a lot of monitor reviews only mention the physical dimensions of the housing, and the horizontal and vertical resolution, and expect you to do the math to figure out the PPI. The number of pixels per inch should always be mentioned in nearly the same breath as the other figures.
I'd love a 42" 4K 240hz OLED
i literally cannot wait for one of these... ive been waiting for 5k2k for sooo long
The 39” 240hz 5120x2160p @ 142ppi looks really appealing to me. I like the curve on my aw3423dwf and I’m sold on ultra wide. It’s amazing! So excited for these to release
5k2k is my dream resolution. When will the tandem Oled panels come onto the market?
That 34" 5k2k or the 39" variant with motor TAKE MY MONEY.
Hopefully Samsung releases an equivalent or better panel next year. I was hoping for a 5k2k 39" 240Hz OLED at CES this year, but obviously that didn't happen. I've been looking forward to that size and resolution as my "endgame" monitor for the past few years. Ultrawide, great size, good PPI, and high refresh rate in one package would cover basically any game use case for at least the next 5-7 years from esports to high-fidelity singleplayer games.
39” with 5k would be the ideal monitor
Thank you Adam, much appreciated 👍
need that 39 inch asap at this res!
My optometrist actually recommended a curved monitor since he said it could reduce eye strain with the panel being equally distant towards the edges of the screen. Imagine my surprise at an elderly optometrist giving me computer display advice! I don't have anything against curved displays though so I might just take his advice!
Currently using the 39" and the 800r curve is just fine for me. It's a personal preference of course. Will definitely upgrade to the 5k2k 39" when it's available.
I currently have an LG 40WP95C-W NanoIPS panel that's 5K2K and I love it. I learned that it's only 5K with DP or USBC, and 2K with HDMI. The curve is subtle and just right - there's nothing more I could ask for, except more resolution in the same package!
5k2k 45 inch with dual refresh/res might be the way i go with my 5090, would finally replace Alienware dwf 34 and 500hz ips combo, also great video!
A 34" 5K2K ultrawide display with Tandem OLED could be excellent for the REC 2020 color space (achieving over 80% and coming much closer to QD-OLED/RGB OLED), deep blacks under light (better than QD-OLED), higher brightness (superior to QD-OLED), and improved text clarity (thanks to higher-resolution fonts). Still the coating would be questionable, whether they stick with grainy/oily matte coating or not.
Impeccable timing, I was just wondering where we are with 5K2K OLEDs just a few days ago! That 39" ultrawide is looking really promising, but honestly I'd love Samsung to announce a comparable QD-OLED by January.
Great, we can use this generations massive uplift in rasterisation performance to power these monitors 🙈
