There is a distinct lack of emotion on the part of the mother and the father seems angry and I get the sense that they are inconvenienced.
They are a weird pair and give me the creeps.

@shailaprol6587

If they are innocent, they are the most guilty-looking innocent people I've ever seen in my life

@NikkiCameron-mj5sm

I never understood why them and their friends were not charged with child negligence at the very least.

@RSB1949

I didn’t think anything was off when i saw these two on TV as a kid. But i’m watching this incredibly fascinating analysis from a greek family resort where we’re on holiday with a toddler and have first-hand experience as a parent now. The following decisions we made weren’t even up for debate…

1. We booked all inclusive so all meals are already paid for, but the restaurant on-site only opened 30 mins before our kid’s bedtime. Not wanting to rush our meal or his bedtime routine we found an off-site restaurant that served great food at 5pm so we could all eat together and have a slow wind-down for his bedtime. Not once did we even contemplate staying out longer than his bedtime. We’ve been chasing him around a pool all day we wanna chill and get an early night too!

2. Lunchtime naps can last 2-3 hours so one of us puts him down and stays in the apartment in case he wakes up and needs soothing. That means the other one can go out and explore and have some time off.

Their decision-making and sense of responsibility is so off. They thought only of themselves, not as parents.

If they wanted to get pissed with their mates on holiday - they could have left the kids with their grandparents or other family at home. I wish they had so madeleine would still be alive today.

@evie0141

There was an old woman who lived in the apartment above the McCann's rented one.
She told the police that every night Madeline would call for and cry for Mommy and Daddy, she would talk to her and try to calm her.
I think the old woman complained to them about leaving 3 babies and so they were dosed them with a sedative.
I think Madeline woke as normal, got out of bed was very drowsy, she fell and hit her head, and she died. They and their friends buried her body and scrubbed that room clean. They all then stuck together like glue.
The chief of Portuguese police used sniffer dogs in the bedroom and they sniffed blood in that room and in he boot of their hire car.
I always knew they did it, what i want to know is who in our government helped them get away with it.

The thing that has always stuck in my mind is the mother had just walked into the apartment to find her daughter missing. She immediately thought someone has taken her. So what did she do…… she left the apartment again to run and get her husband, leaving two little twins, still in the apartment what !!!!!

@jackieconnolly328

I found it odd that the parents continued running and playing tennis just days after Madeleines disappearance.

@davidmckinnon1457

Gerry* "we know we are innocent" . Truly innocent people would say "we are innocent". It sounds like what he is actually saying is "we know we are in the clear" ,"we know they cant prove our guilt" ," we know we have gotten away with it".

@tinatina-tq4tj

I always said this was a massive cover up. Never has a missing child had this much exposure, parliament, the pope…something so wrong about this family. What about when they said something along the lines of her beautiful private parts? How did they get away with this? The cadaver dogs were even dismissed. Disgusting

@romarobbins270

The fact that they say they left their three small kids alone to go party with their friends, and still say they’re completely innocent makes me think they are not totally innocent. I would never have done that, but if I had, I would feel guilty about leaving them alone. Yet, they don’t feel guilt? It’s just weird to me.

@chrisblythe4912

Gerry always looks very nervous when Kate speaks as if he’s waiting for her to slip up and say something to incriminate them both

@monicatry1583

Maddy might be undergoing sexual abuse but let's jog and play tennis.
Any mother would be comatosed with the thought of all the ugly things that were happening.
Something else in their head.

@paulinecrabbe7383

I saw an interview in the early days, a journalist asked them their thoughts of a reported sighting of Maddie. Gerry rolled his eyes and smirked. Thats when I kn😊ew they did it. He knew the alleged sighting would prove false. He knew Maddie was dead.

@anne-mariepotts

Parents would always blame themselves, even if they held the hand of the child,
they would say I should hold her hand stronger so she could not escape my care.

@eviannelane9976

They are both deceptive manipulators who abandoned 3 small children . Kate Mccan keeps saying , we know she is out there… she is out there because they put Madeline’s body out there. They both have to conspire together, they know what they did. RIP Madeline, no one can hurt you now .

@seldomseendave5783

My daughter fell off her bike and was lucky that she didnt get serious injuries. My wife cried about it for days and felt extremely guilty about letting her ride her bike down a short slope. These two allegedly left their toddlers alone in an unfamiliar environment which led to a supposed abduction and feel completely innocent.

@christinewhitfeld7939

Richard D Hall has made a definitive series of films on this subject in ehich he explores the events on a level which nobody else has done. It is jaw dropping.

@sandyblue8082

In an earlier interview with John Corner Kate was asked what she would do if she could go back in time. Instead of answering something like she wouldn't have gone on that holiday, or stayed in that resort, or even not left the children alone, she said she would look very carefully to see who was watching them.........

@sleeplessannie

When the interviewer asked her what the last thing she remembered about Madeline was and her response was "a peaceful, happy little girl". I found the word peaceful interesting...

Madeline was three when she disappeared, she turned four and she was saying they hadn't seen her since she turned four.
