Why IBKR over TD?
fees arenβt great
If you ever played League of Legends or anything, and spent hundreds or thousands on skins but it didn't make you win more... Then you've had IB. Strangely, for actual trading, I ended up going through several brokers. $200/mo for IB is stupid. Since I can code and math, Alpaca seemed to be the right shot. But it wasn't. I ended up blending Fidelity, Yahoo, etc. Fidelity had the freedom and some clever conditions. No one person has been able to bring it, so you still have to piece together the top in class. But IB... nah. Notice no one shows all the ins and outs? Even the devs still get confused about what they made in there. There's enough to learn without having to dk around with that software. I mean, if you want to screw around in software instead of making money in the market, then IB for sure will keep you busy. But if you're objective oriented, you'll run like hell.
w for ibkr
is the $2000 minimum deposit still required? video didn't mention that π€
Does IB charge a monthly fee for its TWS platform ?
