@JezElectro13

You forgot Apartment Complex.

@cleverballoon6535

Fun fact: Hero's syndrome is the reason why in the movie The Incredibles the villain is named Syndrome. He literally has hero's syndrome and manufactures an artificial threat so that he can pretend to save the day

@McGinnnnn

Babe wake up, new mental illness bingo card just dropped

@TBird136

They did Oedipus dirty. He gouged his own eyes out after he found out

@AustinJASMR

The funny thing is: Freud had no evidence of someone having an oedipus complex, except for when he himself felt attracted to his own mother. He literally said "I experienced it, so that must mean everyone else did too"

@luckrequired5382

And the self diagnosis begins in 3, 2, 1...

@myboatforacar

The female counterpart of the Oedipus complex is called the Electra complex, btw

@thox7358

What about the military-industrial complex?

@thepenguintaco

i love how the actual definition of the Cinderella complex is the complete opposite of what Cinderlla stood for

@malachihooper123

The fact you went straight into it is why I love this video. No BS. Just info to relate with

@Eagle3302PL

Hero Complex is how many software developers keep their jobs

@ascendedcat260

i think it's funny that it's called the oedipus complex, when in the story oedipus didn't even know it was his mother he married. and when he found out he blinded himself

@kaan_tuna

Last one got me off-guard

@Malhaloc

As someone with a Jonah complex, I'm really glad you mentioned the fear of expectations. If I happen to have a really good day and go over and beyond at work or some other area of my life, that over and beyond, as exhausting as it was to do just once, becomes the new standard that I'm held to.

That may not be reality in EVERY area of life, but it certainly is in a few and that's enough for me to not want to risk it in the others.

@HatsuneMiku-0I

Mental complex? well, this video's made it seem quite simple.

@ZTRCTGuy

Hero complex seems especially pernitious because it's sometimes hard to spot. Someone creating a problem or viewing something that isn't a problem at all and then appearing as some sort of hero to solve, or worse... sell you the solution.

@Mayor_D_ran

You forgot Youth Complex, longing for moments connected to youth like home, friendship, family, young love, and other happy themes surrounding youth by those who’ve never experienced them.
Usually found in those who’ve grown up antisocial, who’ve been raised in abusive or unstable households, or have grown into an unhappy adulthood and wish to rewind to “happier times”.
Can reinforce feelings of isolation, depression, anxiety toward one’s life, and jealousy and bitterness to other people who are perceived to have it good or better than they have.

At least thats what I’ve come to believe Youth Complex is. Kinda like nostalgia without personal connection.

@superc5845

-Yep that one is definitely me
-That’s literally me
-Yep that one’s me
-Yeah that’s definitely me
-Oh sh*t that’s me
-Haha yeah that’s me

@a177rhythm2

Man, these can be a little depressing, seeing your own behaviors in the examples presented, but it's also good to know you're not the only one. That means you can overcome your flaws, yeah?

@chro.

Thank you, i finally found what was the reason for my problems a few years ago, i had a guilt complex, you have re-contextualized my whole experience and have allowed me to move on forward in my life.
