Going to take a Lil while to learn the flick technique. When you get it it's sweet. You have to flick straight up not out if that makes sense. And sometimes it takes a little lube and breaking in to hit that sweet spot on the compression lock

You flick it with your thumb, pressure pointing towards the (tip, if the knife was open).

Victorinox Huntsman is my favorite knife.
