My husband has the 16plus. He’s not a power user. The thing is brand new. When we got our last iPhones (back in 2019), when they were new, you had to charge them at MOST every other day. He was so excited to have a new battery so he wasn’t a slave to charging. BUT that thing dies almost as fast as my old 11. I’m going in for an upgrade soon… it will not be with another iPhone though. It’s just not as impressive as it used to be. The billing credit deals on the S lines are better anyway. I can get a S25 ultra for the same price as a 16 plus - and it would be a phone I’d actually like.

The fact that people even waste their money on iPhone is beyond me, and they always try to justify it by its simplicity. Sorry I'm not paying $1,000 for 60hz. No customization small battery life. And expensive to repair when it brakes.

People making these kinds of videos do not realise that this is a simple game of LTPO displays, iphone 16e and 16 are stuck at 60 Hz while S25 can drop down to 30 Hz while playing videos, which is the main reason for it to last longer. 16 Pro is the competitor of S25 in this scenario. If the test is run for gaming instead of video playback, 16 and 16e will come very close to S25.

iphone’s have a fixed refresh rate, meaning they always refresh at 60hz, the s25 scales down to 30 (movies are in 30 fps) so not really fair, video playback doesn’t prove anything, in a real life situation they last the same 💔🥀
