7 reasons:
0:54 You don't reach out to new people
1:28 You are averse to change
1:55 You believe you deserve success based on credentials
2:42 You are not willing to take risks
3:23 You can't commit to a decision
4:13 You constantly go after what's exciting at the moment
4:59 You don't believe in yourself

Also, one side note for people who think "I just need to work harder to be successful". Burnout is a thing I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Doing as much as you can is good. Trying to do more never ends well.

@unusualvolume8131

what if majority of people don't want to be successful? they just want to live normal lives.

@eyeseemint556

Good vid, you make some great points and I agree with them in a finer sense. I would also add in luck.

For e.g. we are not all born with the ideal family environment, some of us are born sick, and sometimes youre just born in the wrong country, place or time (and this encompasses anything from being born in NK, born during WW2 etc.)

I think all we can do is be grateful for what we have and try our hardest in our given situations

@moneyfish2490

You don't need to be the next Steve Jobs or Elon Musk. You just need to maximize your own potential.

@lierdakil

I'll be frank. This is just typical "self help" drivel you could find anywhere. If we define "success" by the likes of Steve Jobs and Elon Musk, only a handful of people can possibly achieve that in any generation, simply because there's a hard limit on resources available at any given moment. There can't be a million Apple-type companies, simply because if there were, each of those would be a million times less impressive (even if we disregard the challenges that come from competing in a crowded space). So success by that definition is mostly luck (and sweat and tears and hard work, but getting to the top among literally millions of those who work equally hard if not harder is pure luck). Besides, I wouldn't want to be another Steve Jobs -- that doesn't sound like a fun time at all. I'm perfectly happy with "doing ok", thank you.

@GuRuGeorge03

all u gotta do is understand statistics. if u smart and hardworking u INCREASE chances, that is NOT the same as 100% chance of success. BUT if u take more chances, then it increases ur overall change MORE than being smart and hardworking. Think about it. Let it sink in. It's simple maths.

@alveek

Success is overrated. We need to learn how to be ordinary and happy.
But then big companies won't have anyone to sell their shit to.
So...

@welovfree

success = ß / agreeableness

with ß β‰₯ 0
as agreeableness β†’ ∞, success β†’ 0

Here we are in 2021 and "Influencer" is now a valid career/lifestyle choice.
I may be averse to change, but jeez, some changes suck.
