My physical therapist gave me a simple version of this many years ago. Before getting out of bed, lay on your back, bend your knees, keep feet apart and flat on the bed and lift your pelvic area 10xβs. He told I would have to do this for the rest of my life. It immediately relieved the pain and kept me from having moments where my back felt it was going to give out on me, or dip out in pain at the slightest bend. Itβs called pelvic raises. This exercise definitely works and took away the lower back pain! As I do them I can feel the discomfort leaving and things coming together in my pelvic area. If I donβt do it for a long time I have to do more reps until I get back in the habit. I FIND THIS ESPECIALLY HELPFUL IF I LAY ON MY STOMACH or ON MY BACK FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME IN THE BED. It is a must for me to do pelvic raises more consistently especially as I have gotten older. Hope this helps someoneβ¦
