Ik this is a love song, but i always associate the grief in the melody with my grief losing my dad. "I can wish all I want, but I know it wont bring us together... Plus, I know whatever happens to me, I know its for the better." I try to convince myself that growing up without him was for the better, but ill never stop grieving not having him as a waiting room: somewhere/someone i can rely on going to whenever id need it
