Hinduism also spread to Indonesia and Japan, which is not shown in this map. For e.g., the Japanese religion of Shintoism has traces back to Hinduisim. Hindu Gods and Godesses such as Lakshmi, Saraswathi, Shiva, and Indra have been worshipped in Japan (with Japanese names).
