I had a pal called Mark Jones who was a bin man. Everyone called him Binny Jones. Looking forward to part 2.

@stephen7604

Just finished binging all of your videos the past few days. Your channel is one of my very favorites ever. You have such a knack for storytelling. Looking forward to videos in the future! Hang in there with all the craziness.

@ConesuelaLadyTailor

Crankshaft synchronisation suggests a timing issue. Chain.

@gump1031

This is a good thing though right, they took the car, and actually did due diligence in finding that it wasn't as described. Good on webuyanycar for not just selling on a potential lemon.

@grahampollitt1548

should that light illuminate and then go out when starting to pass the MOT test?

@ferocious5975

Never watched your videos before, the jets flying over with lady pulling a face was classic. Proper British comedy.

@chrissillence2060

What a complete pain ! I was a mechanic back in the 70,s when most cars were rubbish , Vauxhall Vivas engine knackered after 50, miles , British Layland and Fords rusting away in front of you . With robots building cars with accuracy and better machining cars start , run , quiet , smooth great on fuel BUT have gone backwards because of all the stupid warning systems . I have seen cars scrapped because they have a warning light no one can fix .

@CarLateral

Its always fun when someone dishonestly trades in a problem without telling you (which becomes immediately apparent after they've collected their new car) and then they try and put a claim in on their new vehicle. The MOST pleasurable no that will ever leave your lips! Keep going Captain, keep your chin up and keep the exceptional content coming, love these videos!

@Lyndalewinder

No car dealer worth their salt would ever buy a car without checking the fault codes in the first place. Well done We Buy Any Car!

@chazoclock

During covid, Mercedes couldn't get nox sensors for their customers vehicles, so any that came back under warranty had the fault code mapped out (eml still appears to work normally), I assume they had to make customers aware but no doubt worded is as a software update.

If your VW isn't in limp mode and driving as it should, just get the relevant codes mapped out and untape the eml :)

Golden rule - never sell to a friend

@207GTBEE

A remapping company can change the setting to stop the EML from ever coming on. They won’t physically remove the EM Light from the cluster. The car can still log faults but you won’t know them unless you plug the diagnostic kit in. I thought most people knew this. Usually done to stop a car from either going into limp mode or to bypass EGR issues

@grantwebster8157

Way back in the day my dad , a mechanic , bought a 3 year old rover 820, lovely car , but no mot as the abs light was on , the abs however did work ( tested on a gravel track ) , this was a common but expensive fault to remedy . The standard fix was to wire the abs light to the oil light it then came on with ignition and went off when the car was started - simples!! With simpler cars years ago . P.s he ran it for about 10 years or more πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@bp8339

Check the fuse panels in both sides for rust and corrosion damage from a leaking/clogged sunroof drain. Remove and refit all the fuses and check for corrosion. I've had four of these beasts. You're welcome.

@Neil-Hanson67

May have been better if Matt paid the Β£50.00 for money to go to his account within the hour then might have been a different story Rob.

@stephen7604

Also I have to say, as an American, the difference between the responsibilities of British vs American dealers is insane. In the US, in almost all states, dealers are not required to offer any sort of warranty whatsoever on used cars. Some states require them to offer warranties but most are 30 days at the maximum. Many people have experienced driving a car off the lot and having something catastrophic go wrong only to be told to pound sand by the dealer because it’s no longer their problem.

Wouldn't touch We Buy Any Car with a 12ft barge pole - biggest scam merchants going

@garethguinn6875

Looks like you were on the "Mach Loop" flight path. What a spot...πŸŽ‰

Hi Rob, big fan of the channel. I've recently had a vehicle rejected by webac moved 120 miles offsite away from me and told I have to collect because they found me connected to a company I dissolved 8 years ago! Feel your pain.
