I’m from Great Dunmow, 5 minutes from Easton Lodge and sadly I have never heard of this woman. I’m so glad I have now. You can still visit the gardens of the house today.
What a fascinating woman Daisy was. Thanks for the educational and entertaining video.
I've watched other bios on Daisy but yours is by far the most comprehensive. Thank you for the great video.
Not sure if you will see this five days in, but my mother took a long train ride in to spend the holidays (she's 80 and l am 60). We are watching this together and unknowingly both had subscribed and faithfully view your amazing videos. Much respect from two old gals that love daring women who grab life with both hands. 💫
I have no sympathy for any of them. Excess spending, reckless sex and broken hearts shattered so many lives. Meanwhile, the English citizens were suffering.
What an interesting story. Thank you for bringing us such remarkable people. I love how you vary your subjects.
what an amazing story again, incredible, thank you very much!❤
I love the editor of The Clarion newspaper being courageous enough to help Daisy see the error of her ways.
The part that resonates with me is the fact that we are still fighting for the same rights today. We still take from the needy and give to the greedy.
So glad I found your channel!!! Great presentation, voice and tempo!! Excellent!!! Thank you!!
Thank you for a brilliant video. I am planning to binge-watch many of the others you have made. They are both informative and entertaining. I think I would really liked Daisy in her older, socially aware years.
Wonderfull, so so interesting. What an inspiring woman. Should be HUGE in History that she looked after the girls, raising the age if consent from 13 ( appalling peodophlia) to 16. That alone is so substantial to cement her in History as a champion, for woman and the under privileged. A fabulously well crafted and beautifully narrated story again. Thank everyone involved. From Uk Susie i sadly boring Australia, where very sadly hardly anyone is interested in history at all!!!!!. I am ever enchanted by it and send gracious thanks.
Daisy became a better person in later years but in a way, she was cruel to her animals! 500 birds unattended and used to a sheltered life. I know it was a different time, but it’s still cruel. My parents often had at least 5 or more domestic animals as pets but they were always treated like a family member.
Loved this story of a pre suffragette I was unaware of. She was a compassionate, intelligent human being and I applaud her, pearls, peacocks and all. Fearless in the face of her beliefs unlike those who are more famous and less brave. Why do we all fear the condemnation of society? Well because it has real affect on our daily status and living conditions. But she lived according to this story by her love and compassion and beliefs.
So glad to see this tonight! I needed something good ❤❤❤❤
Oh brother… Can some of you just not enjoy the story & not be such a Judge Judy?! maybe they weren’t the best people or most caring, but it’s really interesting & I enjoy learning about these women 💜💙
Thank you for allowing me to view this!!!
