This song got a lot less funny when I started working on an archive of Guatemalan human rights abuses. But that's not Al's fault--it just takes it from song parody to his always underappreciated TRUE mastery, black comedy. Literally everything that he brings up in this song is either real, or within like two degrees of reality.

I saw Weird Al in a small venue last year. He played his original songs rather than parodies. He and his band were phenomenal, even doing a capella.
