One big thing you should mention, San Antonio is the only city in Texas with no toll roads
Houston: feels most global/international of the four cities, tons of culture, very ethnically diverse, hot, humid, hurricanes, tons to see and do (e.g. NASA, Galveston beaches, museums, Rice University is one of the top ranked universities in the USA) Dallas: white collar, finance, some tech, clean, well organized, sometimes feels like the Midwest in Texas, more of an evangelical Christian influence here and there (not in any bad way but still noticeable) Austin: liberal (for Texas, but probably more moderate or liberal libertarian compared to California), tech, music, near the Hill Country, University of Texas Austin is one of the top ranked public universities in the USA San Antonio: blue collar, military, where the Tex meets Mex, not too far from the Hill Country
Houston has an incredible arts, museum and theater scene. People most often speak about oil , but it is an incredible city for stem professionals like engineering , medicine , aeronautics and space. It’s also great for logistics as well. It’s start up tech echo system goes under the radar as well. It definitely wins in the area of cultural and ethnic diversity especially if you are an Afro descended person from any continent.
Looking back, I can’t believe how much my life has changed. I used to struggle financially, but real estate turned everything around for me. I took a risk, made my first investment, and now I own property in Texas. It’s proof that the right opportunities can change your life
Excellent video. Dallas/Fort-Worth Metroplex is my final choice.
I've lived in all 4 cities in the last 11 years. San Antonio: Pros: affordable, good weather Cons: Not many high paying jobs Houston: Pro: Good jobs, sort of affordable housing, Cons: Flooding, hurricanes, hot summers Dallas: Pros: Best job opportunities, Cons: Weather sucks (cold winters, hot summers), housing is expensive for a city that isn't that special Austin: Pros: best night life in Texas, good weather Cons: Housing is way too expensive
I live in Houston and we once considered Dallas and Austin. Glad we settled in Houston I absolutely love it here. I also love how each city is different from each other. Hill Country is sooo beautiful.
San Antonio has a lot of government jobs, the NSA, two Air Force bases, and an army base. There are tons of federal government jobs.
I have lived in all of the ones u mentioned my shortest stay was dallas area which wasnt for me i currently live in conroe which i love but overall my favorite was san antonio
Good stuff here! Moved to Dallas from LA. I absolutely love how different it is, the Dallas ISD for my son is amazing, raising my family out this way. Excited.
Great breakdown born and raised in SA baby 🖤🩶🖤🩶
Charles Barkley: They got some big ole women in San Antonio. They be woofing down dem churros.. Shaq: Laughs hysterically 😂😂😂😂
4:20 "San Antonio is the smallest out of these four metro plexes." I am wondering where you found data for that, since everywhere I look Austin is listed as the smallest, both in city/metro population and in size. However, they might even be growing together within the next years so maybe it doesn´t matter so much. Anyway, great video and thanks for the content!
My wife's family moved from California to San Antonio and they were doing great financially. My wife visited and she liked it. So I said screw it! I got tired of living in roach infested apartments in southern Cali (one bedroom) and paying $1200 per month. And that was back in 2010! We moved to San Antonio and we were able to get into a modest home in 2012 for $170k. Now my mortgage is $1200 per month. It worked out well for us.
By far the best video after a hundreds time wasters that ive watched lol Thank you for being so precise and so good at explaining every detail bro
I moved from Connecticut to Dallas in 1986 and I’m still here. I love it.
To be honest, I could live in any of the cities, Texas just has a great overall culture! Personally, San Antonio would be my pick for good family raising, affordability, beautiful history, great mixed culture, tons to do. However, Dallas downtown is incredible! its like a mix of Austin and San Antonio, but I was shocked how clean and safe I felt down there! I could easily pick Dallas if I had to live in a downtown type environment.
Kyler is an excellent resource and very helpful. He is very prompt and excellent follow through. Go with this guy as your agent representation.
We had a family reunion in San Antonio November 2023, And I loved it there.
