@piggles7249

Imagine if the new demon subplot is just a way for them to write in the original joke ending for Darkblood if he gets back to Earth

@alkon8032

They turned Darkblood in the show like Rorschach where he wants to tell it to the world immediately after reaching a conclusion, while Cecil wants it hidden for a while.

@Fatheroftugging

I love the respect/revamp he got In the show, I'd love to see show Damien have chats with Hellboy

@EpicDestr0yer

Comics: figures it out too late
Show: figures it out too early

@devam8192

Damian was basically a gag character in comics existing just for the sake of being crapped on. The show did it 100% better.

@cordels.1179

Clancy Brown read the comic before his role and was like: “Change That Sh*t Right Now!”

@CDNBreadDogs

I love how the show doesn't do gag characters like the comics did. It made it hard to like any side character in the comics when almost every side characters existence was just a running gag

@Colep1246

I think almost every change they made from the comics to the show is awesome.

@maxxymrice6200

His appearance is modelled after Hellboy, but his role in the story is modelled after Rorschach

@st_Murphy

To be fair, in the comics there was less evidences, he's still pretty incompetent tho

@BoyanBoychev

Damian Darkblood and our glorious king Rex prove that the show does some things better than the comics

@meidianmedia4469

Damian in the show is really a combo of Batman and Constantine

@FRESURT72

I liked this decision. Damien Darkblood is like a combination of Hellboy and Rorschach, two goated characters. Seeing him getting some justice put a smile on my face.

@adolphgracius9996

Imagine dark blood showing up after 200 years like, Guys, you have to act now, Omniman Killed the guardians of the glove 😮😮😮

@Bennett-m1z

He’s also a gag character for the sake that he looks exactly like Rorschach from behind in the comics and has the same speech bubbles too. (As well as having the same role of superhero murder-mystery detective) The TV show changed the white on his head and body which then negates that

@jfksafk5011

In the comics Kirkland did want Damien darkblood to center around this whole invincible versus hell story arc but the editors told him to wrap up the Omni man villian reveal before the series got discontinued so he scraped the idea entirely and made him a gag character

@aacmbirdzilla2343

Definitely a huge improvement over his comic counterpart, you can even feel the tension every time he comes on screen

@thesugar5832

I love how the show did characters justice in most cases making them more fleshed out and more interesting in terms of their personalities

@barricadedpurifier

The show did him justice and I’m glad he might be coming back for the next season.
