Unfortunately, Anthony, not all recruiters/interviewers are as professional as you. You're a clear example of actually liking what you do for a living. Thanks for making the difference.
this video is like a distilled version of all the leetcode interview advice I have ever heard and "I want you to get stuck" that was just golden, this changes these dsa interviews from interrogations to discussion about potential solutions and tradeoffs.
Man that helps a lot. I always thought that having to ask for more information and asking for help was a bad thing. Now I’m going to have a different mindset during my interviews
Great video Anthony. I wish more interviewers in engineering are like you! As someone who interviews interns and college grads, these tips are so true. "Did you solve the problem? Yes or no" is only one signal. A much better signal is how did the candidate think thru it. With the way technical interviews seem to be heading, I feel for coding more companies might be asking more open ended design problems like "design minesweeper" since yes you can get requirements and at best a few test cases but candidates need to fill in the blanks with other edge cases and/or clarify them
Been grinding Leetcode probably a bit aimlessly everyday for almost two months now. Loved this and appreciated how concise it all was. I’ll be checking out your other videos for sure 🤘🏼
I wish I had watched this video earlier. I recently interviewed at Google 2 days ago. It was my first ever coding interview and that too with Google unfortunately and I completely bombed it. Question was so vague that I couldn't able to figure out what the interviewer was asking . Also I didn't know what to ask, how much ask, were they going to paste questions or not or they just tell you the question and only pasting the test cases. Forget about writing code or optimization, i struggled with these things a lot that it literally killed all my time figuring out these things. Sadly couldn't make it but it was a good experience. Learned a lot that it's not just about leetcoding or quickly jumping into the optimal solution, rather the act of trying to approach problem, asking right questions so that you don't miss anything, match patterns quickly in order to get at least you've got the right solution, matters a lot.
Man I’ve struggled with leetcode questions for so long but I know I’m not bad at coding so it was always frustrating. I’ve recently realized that I’ve been approaching them the wrong way this whole time. I learned a lot from this video and appreciate your time!
In general, I'm not against DSA interviews, because I understand how difficult it is to truly assess a candidate's capabilities while avoiding biases related to years of experience or impressive records in the CVs. However, things got wrong when these interviews become nearly impossible to pass without extensive preparation. The whole point of a brain teaser is to understand how someone's brain works without any prior preparation. Thank you for the video.
I have my first ever google interview next week. To be honest, I don't feel ready on the DSA side, even though I'm studying and preparing for it. But it doesn't matter, I will try to follow your advices, and use all my knowledge to try to do the best thing that I can do. At the end of the day this will be a precious experience and a great lesson to learn from, no matter the outcome. And just the idea that Google even selected me for an interview it's a win 😊 Thank you for the advices man!
If I have someone like you interviewing me, I can guarantee I'll do better than I hoped. Great video, man! 👍🏻
I’ve got my first online technical interview with Google coming up in a couple of weeks, and I’m right in the middle of my prep process. Thanks for the tips — this is super helpful! Hope my interviewer will have the same positive vibe as you! 😉
I graduate in the spring of 2026 and have started doing leetcode problems more consistently just to refresh my comp sci knowledge and coding skills. Watching this I realized that I immediately just try and find a solution without really stopping to think about the patterns of each question, will adjust going forward!
One of the best pieces of advice I’ve received in the past year. Straight to the point and incredibly helpful for anyone preparing for interview..❤
Thank you for the representation! I had an interview today, send the great vibes!
Thank you for your POV as an interviewer. I have an interview appointment coming up for an apprenticeship and it's nerve wracking since it's my very first professional and technical interview. Definitely continue making videos like this. I like your realness, vibe, and setup. I'll be waiting on that video of what kind of questions to ask during the technical interview even if it's past my interview date (but hopefully soon 🙏).
This will help me a lot to tackle the interview anxiety, I always feel like I am not ready for interviews.
Thank you for your insight! I need to work on speaking with the interviewer, asking relevant questions, and explaining my thought process :)
Been eating leetcodes, love this. Also great video and I appreciate the effort put in replying to almost every comment. Keep it up.
This video is one of the most informative video in YouTube.
