this is exactly what I've been looking for. As a first year student, I've been pretty lost and daunted by the idea of essay assignments as I haven't yet managed to crack the code of what's expected of me. I've been procrastinating a bit because of this. Now that I've found this step by step structure, I'm so much more motivated to get on with it. Thank you!

This is a great video! As a 2nd year college computer science major student taking an English class, I recently wrote out a section and finalized both two sections the night before a peer review. But prior to that I spent the spring break week researching good academic sources (while balancing out life & homework from 3 other classes). Both an English major classmate and the professor regarded it as a fabulous work, a proud effort for spending time researching before a quick writing. Now I understand why. Thanks Professor Mark Egan for breaking down the links for a first class essay to make that process clear, and I hope more students will benefit from the tips in your video.
