good morning~ you shared well !Calvin! π―
I agree with you that Tian Tian chicken rice stall is over hyped. You should try other chicken rice stalls. Next round at Maxwell, try Hong Kong Roasted pork char siew noodle / rice stall tasty. Amoy is my fav hawker centre. Noodle Story main outlet at Amoy.
i love how honest you were about the food that you found disappointing, because those places were definitely kinda overhyped. since you mentioned you don't think you ate enough - do come back to eat more~ hahaha hope that your next trip back to singapore will be a better one π
You must try Hong Lim. Many Singapore best there! Char Kway Teow, Curry Chicken Noodle, Crayfish Hor Fun, etc.
Food is hyped, but for the price itβs good and you canβt complain about that
You missed to inform on Nasi Lemak. I really wanna know how you eat the sambal despite the crispy meaty chicken. Hahaha anyway, yup what you ate is what we eat for singaporeans, and malaysians as well (maybe indonesians too with their own twist). Hope you have it better next time
Did you eat the chicken rice with sauce? Like chili, soy sauce or ginger? Maybe that's why it's mild? If you didn't, you're missing out. And Tian Tian and Hawker Chan are touristy traps.
Great Video Calvin! Do you edit them yourself?
Can you share when will your last year vacation start? πππ
Amoy is the best!!!
Definitely didn't eat enough π
Hi Calvin, curious to know if youβre a native speaker in English? I like your videos, safe travels
uhh belated welcome to SG i guess? i find it quite funny that as a local i have actually not tried most of the food you did, cos i'm too lazy to venture out (yea you can tell i'm really lazy considering SG is so small). but yea i would say in general hawker food isn't really meant to blow minds, but just be satiating and hearty - in fact i appreciate the variety more than the taste.
