@Sophiesdays

I saw someone do a similar video and they brought up the quote: "the price of anything is how much life you give up for it" it reminded me of this quote when you said your weekends are needed to recover from work :(

@ellouisebadger849

I once read something along the lines of "my dream job doesn't exist because I don't dream of having a job" šŸ˜‚

@Alwaysgotsum102say

NEVER do more for a job than you’re required. They will give you more work with no sense of appreciation.

@denkichu8

my mum shared the same thing with me when I joined the workforce. she said 'all jobs become a job eventually'

@redmagebr

I think "dream jobs" are real! They're just not meant for people like us. They exist for the people who already had so much money from the get-go (inheritance of old wealth) that they can treat their jobs as a hobby. So, like, they're suddenly not having fun? They can just quit right then and there!

A "dream job" requires the kind of freedom that you can only get by not needing the job to, you know, survive. Money ruins everything.

Healthcare professionals need the most mental healthcare. You’re putting up with and seeing people at their worst

@reneer.9023

A dream job doesn’t exist, a dream life does. To get my dream life I need that ā€œdreamā€ job.

@helenaflynn9736

The thing you said about looking at your boss and feeling like you don’t want to end up like them is relatable šŸ˜‚

@MasterTSayge

As a guy born in the mid 70s i can say we peaked as a society in 2005. 2006 was when the declined happen. Everyone is so focused on money, status, jobs, hustle & grind, flexing, gender war, individuality, dog eat dog, and worshiping elites. While we spend over 60 hours a week at work & traffic just to stay at a $2k studio apartment we barely live in with unknown neighbors. Most people now are lonely and overwork. No 3rd places, No genuine connections, No trust, and No humanity. What are we living for? When is the Revolution?

@ericaallisonc

9/10 times passion doesn’t pay the bills. That is why I found a good paying job I can tolerate to pay the bills while I keep my passion as a hobby. Best switch I’ve ever made.

@denisemacalino8274

even not being in survival mode, dream jobs can still be unfulfilling. I landed my dream job at 24 - doing videography and design for a travel company that flew me all around the world. The work itself could be quite tedious and boring, while some moments were amazing. The thing that was disillusioning about that "dream job" was not that it was hard and pushed me into survival mode, but moreso that it was.. not hard at all, and actually kind of boring some days and made me wonder what my purpose was. Now, at 30, I have detached my life purpose from work, and my new "dream" job is the job I work that allows me flexibility to live a life that isn't about work

@xan8123

ā€œYou spend so much of your time recovering from your jobā€ REALEST STATEMENT EVER

@livvylivinlife

I claim to have my dream job, but not in a ā€œI dream of laborā€ way but in a ā€œit allows me to live my dream lifeā€ way. Work is work. But I love my life that my job allows me to live.

@burntoburn42

The snarky "welcome to the real world" attitude (and reality) is dying (literally). We can shape the future world as we wish, we don't have to accept systems and ways of life that simply don't make sense with all such obvious improvements at our hands. Great video, thanks for the wonderful insight.

@deecher9494

I'm 26 and it just sunk in that work is work no matter what you are doing and tbh if you love something you probably shouldn't make it work, because that will make you resent it or fall out of love with it. Do the job that pays you well and keeps your mental health in line. That's it, it's nothing fancy most of the time. And then use that money to enjoy the hobbies you love.

@onstanz

I got a degree in psychology and I thought I’d open a private practice, but then I realized I didn’t want to be part of the mental health business and the individualized approach to mental health. I ended up working for a bank as a risk advisor, which made more sense with my pragmatic outlook, where I figured I’d provide more value to risk owners without having to know that much about their private lives. I think it’s about finding a match between what you’re good at and what the market needs.

@thekimberlynproject

They totally are! I left a "dream job" to return to an industry that pays less but is sooo fulfilling... daily! If you have to work for a living... there are 2 choices: money or fulfillment. If you can find a job that has both... you are truly winning! Never trade your "life," because you will, to make loads of money! At the end of it all, your TIME is the true currency!

@skyfalldeadpool1633

The fact that they deluded us to " Dream of a job" is mind boglingšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜Š to me
