How Costco’s Kirkland Signature beer finally hit the mark: https://on.wsj.com/4jCt2C3

@bilo6832

Finally, someone in management that listened to the people doing the work.

@clivepereira123

So refreshing to hear a CEO so practical and straight talking.

@cooperetherton7148

I think they’ve really benefited from fast food becoming so expensive. Why would I pay for a lesser quality product when I can get a higher quality product for the same price?

@XiJinpingMei

One of the things that stuck out to me was that when Hochman talked about the fries, he admitted that the staff wasn't shaking the seasoning 30 times like they were supposed to, so Chili's changed the shaker. Most big employers now just want to blame lazy employees, but when almost none of your employees can achieve expectations, you should ask yourself if your system is wrong.

@ZyroZoro

This is how capitalism is supposed to work. A company listening to what its customers and employees want, and delivering a high quality, fairly priced product. Not ignoring everyone, skipping and cutting corners wherever possible, and jacking prices up.

@Damage_Inc

A family member showed me how much it cost to eat at McDonalds and said “we might as well go eat at Chili’s” and we did and the food was markedly better than we remember a decade ago. We left full and with to go boxes and it was the same price and great service. Other places were empty while the local Chili’s was packed. Everything the CEO said here rang true and the turnaround is astonishing.

@bensonmowrey2367

At 2:40, he says the most telling thing: your arm gets tired after shaking the seasoning after five shakes. That tells me he was actually in the kitchen with the team, doing the work to see what worked and what didn’t. That’s a leader.

@cadet526

You can tell he’s a real person doing this. It’s all practical stuff and that actually makes it easier for employees.

@user-fn4ei3dt2p

Finally. A person in upper management that doesn't really think they know everything. He did the research and took the time to LISTEN to their employees. Man. Who would have thought a simple process could be so tough for pretty much everywhere else.

If management is bad, employees go elsewhere.

@natehiggers42069

This guy, .99 Arizona Tea Guy, and Costco Hotdog guy are singlehandedly keeping the middle class alive

@markpamvandyke6171

It's not complicated.
A burrito (with NO DRINK) at Chipotle is $12. At the Chili's across the street I get a soda, chips & salsa, a burger and fries for about $14 after tip.

@bittersuite260

Do not kill yourself, Chili’s will save you

@115zombiees

i was at chilis 2 days ago, its been years. Best dining experience and food for price I've had in many years. Triple Dipper and a rum and coke plus an appetizer for $25 a person? unmatched 10/10

@ltymore4599

I went to the Chili’s in John’s Creek Georgia today. This video is what made me curious just how good Chilis really was. I had passed it by many times, but never ate there. Let me tell you I was impressed. Everything this CEO said in this interview was spot on. Food, service and the atmosphere were outstanding. The price was better than most brick and mortar restaurants of similar types. I talked to a few employees and they said they had worked there three and four years. That’s slow turnover for a chain restaurant.

@NotoriousWhistler

I am FURIOUS he didn't start the interview with "Hi, welcome to Chilli's"

@William-Waite

This guy needs to write a book on leadership. He is clearly an excellent leader.

@giff74

I was a mid-level manager for almost 25 years for a couple large companies. When an executive actually makes simple, actionalable changes that aren't "pie in the ski" it makes such a big difference.

@forthepeople1664

That’s what they told us in cooking school, keep the menu slim and make organization the focus. This is true regardless if it’s casual or fine-dining.

@js3406

Yes. I had stopped going to chili’s 8-10 years ago. I finally went back 6 months ago because it was across the street from where my friend and I were having a coffee and decided we wanted food. I agreed and order that 3 item lunch thing for 10.99.
I thought I had walked into the chili’s on the day the cook was sober and wait staff were actually rested and doing their job. It was a great experience. So… I decided I had to go back to try again and see the real service. Surprised that service and food were just as good. So I went back a 3 rd time to test AGAIN. Same level of service. Now I have seen this YouTube post and know why the service and food are legitimately good. AFTER WATCHING THIS CEO SPEAK ABOUT HIS PROCESS… I will now make chili a weekly visit. Well done to you sir. Your Kemah store is making excellent fries and food. Now I have to order triple dipper. Thank you for giving us middle class people a product we can be proud to use. 🙏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
