This album definitely hits different once you know a bit more of the Gaga lore. Many of the lyrics take on a whole new, often more significant meaning. For instance, her talking about her "Lady of Mayhem" persona always being present like she's her (Stefani's) clone who's asleep on the ceiling, and her never being quite sure which one people expect her to be when she walks into a room. This album talks a lot about her inner opposite "twins" forever locked in a sort of inner duel, and now she's finally at a point in her life where she's accepting both sides as a part of her being instead of constantly fighting between the two.

I've been waiting for this!!! As both a swiftie and a little monster this means a lot to me, Taylor and Gaga literaly saved me from depression during my early teenage years😭😭😭 And now that I'm an adult, it feels so special that my two biggest passions are coming together🖤

Since you stopped following Gaga after The Fame Monster album, I would suggest you react to Born This Way, because many regard this album as her best ever. ARTPOP would also be an interesting react (people either love it or hate it, interestingly this is Taylor Swift's favourite album by Gaga).

Zombieboy is about one of GaGa’s best friends who recently passed. She reminisces on how she loved partying with him all night. VIY seems to have 2 meanings, one is mourning Bennett as there are many references to his songs in it, the other is that it is a love song. I believe that mourning Bennett she found comfort vanishing into her fiancée but still missed her dear friend.
