Agreed, the Google project management certificate is great in terms of actually teaching project management skills. That said, no company will hire an inexperienced project manager. There are thousands of PMPs in the market that have a much higher likelihood to be successful depending on their experience. So the Google cert on its own will not get you a job as a full time project manager without experience.
PMI's CAPM + Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and relevant education can't really be beat unless the company is transitioning a mid level subject matter expert (in a software engineer, bioengineer, etc.) into a technical project manager role. I encourage people open to looking to move to look at EPIC in WI, they have an early career fresh out of college program for technical project managers. I couldn't take it since relocation conflicts, but it would be a great career move for your first 3-6 years out of college.
I never knew switching to consulting required such strategy till I stumbled clueless through interviews. Tried winging it solo; total disaster. Then The Thinksters came to the rescue with intuitive case frameworks. Their session was a game-changer. Even when they offered free coaching, don’t know about now... Oh, and Bain called last week – super stoked!

I have PMP. Which other certification would accompany it well to increase marketability and demand higher salary
How does having a six sigma black belt fare against these?
Hi Shane, I am a Business Administration major in General Business Administration student, I will be finishing hopefully by 2025. I watched your video that GBM is too general, that's why I going to do professional certifications concentrating in Logistics and Supply Chain and a postGrad certificate in Supply Chain. Do you think it's okay?
