Their fees are super low compared to what you would pay for your own site or brick and mortor. Ive sold over $20k in parts in just the last 30 days. Those parts are selling domestically and internationally. Im happy to pay a measly % for access to their reach.
You gotta spend money to make money and stepping over dollars to save a nickle is going to keep you broke.

@Itsallaboutthebuild

We prefer buying on eBay instead of selling 🤣🤣🤣 It’s tough out there.

@Brandoe876

Poor advice. Ebay is great to reach a larger audience for your items and does this better than FB and Offer up. The reach is not comparable. Some items might have a local high demand, but if that is not the case you will need to venture out.

@2dogsmowing

I never thought about ebay and taxes selling stuff.

Im doing research on a side hustle with used car parts.
I'm glad I came across this short and you mention taxes.

@MarkNehemiah

eBay has done quite well for me. Just bury the 14% and the shipping into the price of the item. Simple

@A_A_Ron_G

Everyone buys stuff on ebay. Not fb marketplace. And you gotta go meet people in parking lots and stuff. It's highly unlikely someone in my local area needs a sun visor for some 20 year old car. But on ebay anyone on the planet can buy it.

@aarondavidsmith208

This is all true but its the cost of doing business. People are willing to pay a premium for parts on ebay. It's my sole income and I do quite well for working 20 hours a week.

@Rafiki568

I agree don't sell car parts on Ebay, leave that to me :)

@mikeroche8544

Ebay charges 13% on your SHIPPING charge too!!!!

@fignationca

do you find any parts from certain makes models sell better?

@3xpresso306

I haven't paid taxes 💀

@TobalMinecraft

yeah, so from Latin America I will be able to shop in your facebook marketplace and buy your car parts...😅

@Devon-Hustle-23

if your sourcing sucks your profit will hurt get better products for cheaper ebay has the audience and attention that's where you should be imo

@davidschwartz870

Lmao horrible advice clearly. Why would you want to limit the amount of eyes you have on something you’re trying to sell

@AdvaitVeerChauhan

It's called business. If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen buddy. I've been selling on ebay for 4 years now and it has catapulted my business into something I never imagined. Now I sell autoparts on multiple platforms all thanks to ebay. Sounds like you just gave up 😅
