Hi Mimi, thanks so much for your inspirational/informative videos! I moved to the States last summer, joined DesignLab as your recommendation, am still in the middle of the course and just landed a job a week ago. Even though I've been a product designer for sometime but the course helps a lot in filling the gap of market differences. I know the job market in the U.S is insane right now but tailoring your resume to ATS friendly, doing homework hard before the interviews and presenting your case study like you own it would help for sure! Good luck to everyone who is seeking a job right now <3

I loved your video, thank you for including automatic dubbing, it makes it easier to reach other countries.

If you don't mind me asking, what year did you make the pivot from UX/Web to Product design? In a similar spot, and wondering if its still possible in 2025. :)

Hi Mimi! This was an awesome , inspiring video! I'm Marie, a rising college junior and aspiring UX/Product Designer. I'm building my portfoluo slowly through clubs, class projects, and volunteering (no internship yet 😢) but my goal is to get an internship by the end of next year! Creators like you really give me the motivation to keep going despite it being hard, so thank you and keep doing what you're doing! ❤

@OsijamanSheikh

Super inspiring! Your journey proves that with determination and creativity, anything is possible. Thanks for showing that starting from zero is just the beginning! 👏🎨💡

Lets not mislead people. Breaking into UX is hard.

I wish Youtube allowed all users to deactivate the automatic dubbing generated with AI from the videos, since this can only be deactivated by the creator of the video itself its quite limiting for the viewers who prefer the original language. As a native Spanish speaker it is really annoying to watch this in such a fake Spanish accent. Also the translation is kind of weird. I could not even watch more than 20 seconds of the video and I don't want to watch it only with subs, the experience is lame. I even tried using a VPN just to see if that would work but it didn't. This sucks :/ Nothing to do with your content. The video seems interesting.
