The American dream is now to save enough money to leave the U.S.
im glad they mentioned that they had debt and everything wasnt "perfect" so many americans are waiting to "hit it big" before they start really living their life but get so stressed, overworked, or unhealthy before they have their "financial freedom" they cant enjoy the world. live now!
I'm a Greek with many foreign friends living here. If you want one piece of advice, please do make an effort to learn Greek. The locals will then welcome you with open arms and you will make many long-lasting friendships. Greeks are friendly either way but to truly integrate making the effort to speak the language at least somewhat well will make a huge difference. It shows you truly appreciate and are grateful to be welcomed into the country.
I have lived abroad. The experience and peace of mind is unmatched. I only came home to take care of my aging parents.
Life is short, travelling feeds your soul.
Greece is one of the most stunning countries in the world. Much love for all my brothers and sisters, from Serbia.
That's my friend and fellow creator Cara!! So proud of her for taking action and building her dream life!
Last year my husband and I went to Italy. First time in Europe. We noticed how different it was. They were more focused on the quality of living. More relaxed. One person told me that in the US we live to work but in Europe they simply work to live and enjoy life. That was eye opening to us. So happy for this couple 💜
I wish you all would interview a person who is NOT a digital nomad. When you make the local currency it's not the same experience financially. I personally work in Europe where the wages are lower so the way I live is drastically different. I still live better than I did in the USA but I still have to hustle.
I'm soon turning 66. I left the US 6 yrs ago. I live on just my social security (below1300 month) and to not be bombarded daily with political hatred, shootings, racism, the extreme cost of living does wonders for ones health.
I’m debt free with zero kids and I thought it’d be crazy for me to move abroad 😅 I really need to take more risks in life lol
I’m a Greek living in the US for 35 years as of tomorrow. The past several years I’ve owned property in Greece and come every 2 months. I’m in Greece right now and it’s my 6th trip in the last 12 months. The US was a good run for me but has reached an end. The US is a profit driven country, that’s all that matters, hustling all the time, everything pre-planned no spontaneity too expensive unsafe too many drugs and crazy people and it’s an extremely stressful and unhealthy country. Once I sell my US assets I will move away from the US for good. I’m happier here in Greece and you feel alive. I talk everyone out of moving to the US. I tell all it’s not the country I moved to 35 years ago, it’s broken. Greece is a wonderful place to raise a family safely and in a healthy balanced lifestyle.
I love her life! There are a lot of haters in the comments, but she’s living her life on her terms, and I’m here for it. 🎉
This woman is living the dream. So many of the reasons why she moved abroad resonate with me. Wishing health and happiness to her and her family!
I’m a Navy veteran and was married to an active duty Navy man. We were stationed in Sigonella Sicily and about two weeks before the birth of our daughter was due, they flew us to Naples Italy for the delivery. After giving birth, there was no rushed feeling to kick me out of the hospital. And the next day, they gave me steak and lobster for dinner😊 When we got back home to Sicily in a little town called Belpaso, our landlords had decorated our door with with baby stuff!🥰 It was very nice. And Italians are serious about taking their Midday time off… Reposo! The idea of leaving America is getting more tempting as the time goes by. But I have a job that I absolutely love and I need to be here in San Diego to do it🤷🏽♀️ Congratulations to this lovely family and good luck to anyone else that plans on moving Abroad🙏🏽💞
We also moved abroad and it was the best decision ever. Your money goes further, you’re not constantly anxious, it’s easier to be social in other countries and you have time to actually live.
i’m so relieved to hear her mention how the uvalde shooting was her final straw. i’m shocked by how so many parents don’t seem that bothered by the epidemic of school shootings in the US.
The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.
Been friends with Cara for a number of years and so proud of her for following her dreams. Also, Harley is a fabulously supportive husband and great dad! They are role models!! Well done!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
