One of the first things my coding mentor told me what about CEU's. She said if you attending your monthly chapter meetings (1 CEU a month) and complete the quiz in the AAPC magazine (1 CEU a month) it is easy to fill in the remaining CEU's needed to maintain your certification. I have tested this while a student and she is correct.

@LadieBjj

I am going through the school right now and I thought coding was just a few numbers. Holy * I was so wrong! There’s A LOT to learn. A lot.

@Engineer_Dee_79

I am currently in my medical coding program and I'm excited. I did do basic medical coding as a medical assistant, but I'm excited to get into things in full force. I will be taking my CPC when I complete my program

@lojrich3934

Thank you for all this info. Please say a prayer for me that when I begin this new journey I succeed ❤

@natalieldarden

New subscriber here! Fortunately, I worked as a billing coordinator and within the health insurance industry performing customer service/quality audits; however, it's been some years. I'm currently taking an instructor-led course through AAPC and hoping to make a successful career transition!

@niaelizabethbush290

Just so you know the audio and video is not synced but great information 👏🏾

@Sherraysmiles21

Hi thanks for the information I start school for this profession next month. I'm a former Pharmacy Technician of 26 years. I decided to change careers so I'm taking the 9-month program and I'm excited about it.

@lesleymenjivar

I am currently in school through the AAPC, I am almost halfway finished, but I have until April to finish my course to take the final exam. Then do Practicode, do a bunch of practice tests and schedule for my certification exam.

@allthethings6354

Your first point is the reason I’m hesitant. I would like to obtain a certification but, the pay you receive after, doesn’t match the amount of money it takes to get in and stay in.

@taariqq

Critical information. Subscribed. Thank you!

@michelehays1974

Sadly I couldn't do it. I went to school for coding, but I just can't pass the CPC test. I've tried twice and I just can't get it. And now, I can't afford to continue - the books, the membership, $400 per test, etc. I wish I'd have known...

@melvasalman5305

Thank you so much for your input on Medical Coding. I'm currently taking an online course now. I'm worried about taking my certification because its so much im learning and I dont want to forget it by the time I take my certification. SMH 😂

@ROXELL

Thank you! I am thinking of enrolling in a program for this and leaving education.

@jmca110

Awesome information, thank you. Do you have an opinion on getting an education on Preppy?

@angieharris8015

To sum it up: Coder's are not Biller's and Biller's are not Coder's! That's like people think that Dental Hygiene and Dental Assistant are the same, NOT! Or EMT and Paramedic are the same, NOPE! There's also AHIMA for coding.

@anneicemorman1504

Thank you for sharing!! This really helped.

@alicevanderyt7127

Lots of great information. Thank you!!

@kimberlyowens3360

I wish I had known the cost associated with keeping certification.

@ibironkeonunaku6416

Very informative! Thank you very much.

@MJ-fg4se

Hello Thank You for your channel.I am planning to career pivot to medical coding. I am applying for entry level positions in business area local health centers and remote jobs. I have associates in business administration. There are two community colleges that offer medical coding and one that is medical billing and coding. The college that offers medical coding is an AHIMA short certificate, after completing I can sit for CCA, CCS, and RHIT down the road. The other is AAPC thru workforce development, which would you recommend? I am brand new to this career, excited to learn, make a career pivot.
