Are you already charging clients during the onboarding process? How many days or weeks does it take you to onboard a client?

hi ellen i have a question . do you first Email the client and then after that they book a call with you for further discussion??... Do we just have to send them a long message of our questions and things we need??? because a call develops more trust. btw i am a beginner social media manager thats why asking such basic questions.
