@haleyphamvlogs

It turns out “shipped” DOES have spice scenes so goodreads lied to me 😐 thx for letting me know though reader pops have fun reading!!!!

@snowbird7254

finally someone who appreciates non spice in romance

@jaymee11b

why can’t YA have the characters going through something hard other than someone’s death? it’s in every one!!!

@kamryng509

Thank you!! I’m a Christian and have to constantly skip over spicy scenes. I love romance stories and I’m okay with skipping, but it would be nice to read some where I don’t have to skip :)

@omnia-amo

I’m not a big fan of spice in books, so I really appreciate this video. I would rather fangirl over 2 characters holding hands than a spicy scene. Cute romances make me super happy bc I feel like spice sometimes ruins a ship. I want the ship to he cute and then mature later into spice (which is probably why I love it when both characters have a strong foundational friendship/companionship other than the romance)

@kassiespookyandinteresting2327

As 14 year old i appreciate this video because i can probably read most of it <3

@courtneykramer664

I wish it was easier to figure out if a book has spice in it before you buy it. This video was really helpful, thanks Haley! God bless

@reeserenton6295

My favorite book series of all time is “The Lunar Chronicles” by Marisa Meyer and I think you would LOVE this series. It’s a sci-fi/romance and the writing is just so clever and is a 5 star read in my opinion. I love these book videos!! 💞

@soiammagenta

Another LIST OF BOOKS with no spice/closed-door romances (from the comments section or books I know):
+Flipped  by Matt Berman
+If I Never Met You by Mhairi McFarlane
+Places We've Never Been by Kasie West
+[ not exaclty romance ] Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger
+100 Days of Sunlight by Abbie Emmons
+The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon (2 or 3 make-out scenes)
+This Time It's Real by Ann Liang (Binged this book in nearly 3 days. Literally amazing. There was like only 1 kiss scene)
+Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim (There is like one peck scene, and one kiss I think)

@avabritton-heitz8093

I'm so excited for this. I love reading romance books, but I'm still young so it's tricky finding stuff that I feel okay with reading. Thank you so much for making this.

@mimosap632

Here’s the thing! I love a little spice (the kind where the male character is obsessed with the girl) I love these specific quotes that I can obsess over between the characters but I DON’T want to read really detailed stuff of the intimate scenes😤

@mikasa_armin

I'm a sucker for no spice romances 😭😭thanks for the recs

PS: when she said this is my fav book I immediately know it is 'Better than the movies"❤

@kaitlynnicolereads

i love the summer of broken rules and love and gelato! i’m currently reading love and luck and it is so different but still enjoying it!

@meettherodgers1374

Finally 🙌🏻
I never read romances because the spice makes me feel uncomfortable.
Raised in the church so yeah lol.
So I’m so happy to see this video with all these book recs. They’ve all been added to my goodreads. Thank you

@leaht4555

Finally someone else who likes romance books WITHOUT spice I came here for some good recs lol

@Harrypotterfan_shorts

omg my fav no-spice romance is hearts overboard!!! i literally hear no one talking about it and it is so good!!!! It's an enemies to lovers type of romance💖💖💖

@leah0027

I'm excited to read some of these! I took a long reading hiatus after high school and I'm just getting back into it again, but I love a good cozy romance! I grew up getting all of my romance reads from my Christian school library, so reading again I was a little shocked to find how many books have a lot of spice! I guess I assumed only the books with the muscular bare-chested men on the cover were filled with that. 😂 There are so many cute stories out there that I would prefer without the spice!

@wronglayerbutok

I need a list for non-spicy tv-shows and movies too! It’s very hard to find something when you’re not in the mood for high school as a theme either. Everything is so explicit in all directions these days. I want a story!

@madalynjohnson493

ok. this is more of a juvenile fantasy series but i’m 17 and i am OBSESSED with it. it’s called Keepers of the Lost Cities. seriously don’t judge the book by it’s cover. i literally can never put the books down. it’s SO GOOD

@EmLJ2M

I love Francine Rivers’ writing style too! Her characters have so many layers and dialogue and relationships are so relatably depicted!
