I’m a physician scientist who’s done exactly what you describe over the past year. Has completely changed my career, interests, skills and ability to communicate w ML folks. You hit nail on head here great presentation!
"Renaissance man" then goes ahead to add his jpegs!, Love this man😆
I love this video! I'm months away from getting my Bachelors in Data Analysis and have spent lots of my time on the side learning about data engineering and data science. I've built my own simple pipelines, have a solid understanding of data analysis with basic tools like excel and power bi, and a strong familiarity with AI in R, mostly machine learning. I spent some time learning how to learn, and one technique that really will helped me is the Pareto Method or 80/20 rule, where 80% of the value in a topic can be found in 20% of the material. LLM's can very easily help you apply this method to each field in data.
Insightful!
Love this video as I am already on this train of thought. My only point i would like to raise is that we should not forget about Excel. I have just got my first role in data. They said 90% of the role will be using this tool lol.
I recall from one of your very early videos that you did DataCamp before doing your Masters, and you stated it did not prepare you very well for your uni courses. Has DataCamp gone through significant improvements since then?
Data Camp promo video
What about ML/AI Engineering? This seems to be a rising field right now
Ive been trying to self teach for the last 12months but ive found it quite difficult. So ive decided to bite the bullet and take a data science degree with Open University. Im going to keep learning Python on the side to compliment it (all whilst working 30-40hrs per week😅) any general advice you could give?
Isnt this a nice way to be the guy that they dont fire. Like, the management be saying, we can fire A(only DA) and B(only DS) because C(you) can do all A and B can do.
PLEASE DO NOT POPULARIZE THE TERM "Renaissance Data Scientist" / Full-stack Data Scientist. My managers will start asking us where can we find one. It's just going to make the whole job market go crazy again.
bro , i become data science interested , but i have problem cant spoken, data science need communcation skills a lot talk ?
Can you suggest the specific courses at DataCamp that you mentioned towards the end of the video?
Hey i want to be a full stack data engineer and im 15 so i would like a clear road map on what exactly i should be doing i would really appreciate that thank you although im learning java rightnow i plan on moving to python once im good at java or atleast decent with the language
Thank you this is very useful
Wait wait. Didn't you say that your sponsor in this video, Data Camp, was a waste of one year of your time to learn Data Science, in one of your earlier videos. I think I kept that in memory and vouched not to waste my time also. Nonetheless good video. I like the 12 week year mindset
How do you get the time to do content dawg when you a data scientist , I hardly have time to go out dawg
You pumped motivation to me
