10 years ago I was single, alone and miserable, John Mayer's songs we a comforting solace to a drunk who couldn't hold down a relationship, even when my life literally depended on it. Fast forward 10years, I'm 7 years sober, married with 3 kids and just found John again, to listen and remind me where I was and where I am now.

@crackingclips

You don't need to be breaking up with someone to appreciate this tune, you just need to have lived life.

@gaberillman6778

Does anybody listen to this song on YouTube instead of listening to it on Spotify, iTunes, Pandora (or whatever music streaming service you use) so that you can read the comments??? And see how many other people share the love for this song that you have? Because I know I definitely do this. For me, this is just one of those songs thatโ€™s so emotionally riveting that I really just have the urge to listen to it on YouTube every time.

Edit: Thank you guys for the likes!!! Lol I posted this comment a year ago (February 2019) when I was going through a rather rough and stressful time in my life, and now i'm here a year later (Friday, February 14th, 2020) and it's nice to see so many people who share how I feel :)

John Mayer's guitar riffs , chords and his tunes are unique , he is a class of his own , he will go down history as one the greatest guitarist in the likes of Santana, Clapton , John Mayall, Peter Framton , Lindsay Buckingham and the likes

@luukeluketer1024

I remember Eric Clapton saying that Mayer was one of the best if not the best younger all round musicians ....that super high praise......

@natalissantos92

"God only knows how much I'd love you if you let me"

@ikuep

"Clouds of sulfur in the air, bombs are falling everywhere." No better way to describe a toxic relationship.

@NitishBhatt

Anyone listening this track in 2024?๐Ÿ˜Š
I am listening from New Delhi, India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

@theloniouscoltrane3778

...there should be a petition for Clapton
and Mayer to make a studio album or even
a double album for posterity...
please...please...please...before it's too late

@klaytonickinson

This has been my breakup song for years. This one is by far the most painful/most relatable one yet. sometimes we change for the better, sometimes we change soo much we can no longer recognize each other. love your partner every night before you sleep, put effort in, always do. Never blame him/her for your unhappiness, no matter how much you think he/she pissed you off, kiss them before you go to sleep, say i love you. nothing destroys love better than holding grudges. Because at the end of the day, all of your grudges isn't nearly as valuable as the irreplaceable love you two have found for each other. TRUST ME.

@dariovera429

My favorite part of all the John Mayer songs:

I dont care if dont sleep at all tonight, lets just fix this whole thing now, i SWEAR to god were gonna get it right if you lay your weapon down...

@DIceberg25
