@theo4626

Thanks to you I was able to install the cartographer on my K1C. Hear me out, I am triple left handed if it comes to screws and stuff. The detail of your description allowed me to be brave and install this thing. The hardware stuff is done. Tomorrow I'll flash the printer.
I cannot stress this enough. I am really grateful for guys and dudes like you.

@danphillips9378

Zero, your videos are perfect! Well done sir! Keep up the great work. Love the simple af firmware.

@ledzpg

Congrats on the sponsorship 👏👏👏

@jarrettallen299

Can you still do this mod if you’ve already added a CFS unit to your K-1 I didn’t know with all the firmware changes if that was still possible?

@Big_Boulders

Thanks for the video. I had to use the 1.7mm x 5mm screws as the 2mm cracked the print on the corner on an ASA print

@TheAfroman

Sir. I want to tank you for a fantastic video. Also for truly putting in the time and commitment in making these creality machines perfect. After this cartographer 3d install, and the bed fix (glass between the magnet pei sheet) its perfect. my K1 Max is flawless now. just perfect 1st layer every time no issues. Thank you and maker of C3d and the Simple AF firmware.

PS. i dont think your macros install with the simple AF fimrware. did the install 12/5 and they didnt show in fludd or mainsail. (calibrate cartographer). Either way was able to manually do it

@glennmccarthy8773

Simple and clean video in my books.

@tek9058

Installed the low profile version on my two K1Max with the skeletor mk7 mount, works perfectly. I made a small extension cable which connects the mainboard usb cable to carto. All you need is in the carto box, you just have to do some soldering. And I had to invert black/red and yellow/white. Thanks for the video, confused me first but was easy once I started. It's just few simple steps: flash carto with firmware as explained in simpleAF docs, print parts and assemble, reset printer to factory, install simpleAF. if you install without the carto connected, you will have to run another command, see simpleAF troubleshooting section.

@michaelmessuri7746

Thanks so much for this video! with the Cartographer back in stock I'm off to pick one up and follow your guidance. Just a quick question for you though, for the K1 Max do I need the USB right angle version or the CAN bus right angle version?

@OrganicWoodDesign

Do you prefer the cartographer above the Eddy Duo? Which do you suggest to use? Best regards

@destroyer4923

ooh!!!! man, im buy the Eddye now im have to buy Cartographer3D... tanks man.

@JustSomeHuman-j8o

At every point in the entire process you mention that “this is very simple”. This is probably true for those of us who are familiar with Linux. But for others, this could be a very daunting task. As far as the software changes to the printer are concerned, if anyone gets completely lost, the firmware changes to the printer can always be reversed with just a factory reset.

@nickboul3328

Well done mate!

@Therealmaxwell-cat

Like your videos, quick question do your side mount on printable shown in decsription have the correct distance to nozzle height. Thanks

@kljw66

great video, and explains things clearly and simply, well done. So.... what about specific setups for the k1, K1c and K1 Max??

@syperlaxer

hey thank you for the video just ordered one but the link to the mount is not working

@TheBomberski

Nice job 🎉

@Ducati996sps

I just wanted to start with a thank you for all your great videos. I’m waiting for my cartographer to arrive. I did the glass mod and the bed is now it acceptable tolerance, my issue at question is when I do a first layer for bed print test with my Z offset adjust. The print starts very good for the first third and after gets a lot of ripples (waves), im not sur if is the glass bed and the factory probe (lidar) that give my the issue, all calibration in orca are done, so will the cartographer give my better first layer and adjust the z offset in different area of the bed

@ACKET2009

Hello! I maked the linear rail mod from Bootycall Jones and now I want to install the cartographer. I has flash it firmware to the USB version for K1. Some questions appears... 1) I already have the guilouz creality helper script installed - do I need to do a full factory printer reset, or only the klipper uninstall and the adopted version install? 2) the carriage with that probe mount can be used with the original creality hotend? 3) Can I connect the cartographer wire to the lidar socket (K1max)? - is some changes needed for that in the settings?
