@jowilltellthetruth5525

London and the UK are two different worlds.

@Ty-hs5ox

As a Londoner that lives in NYC, I find Londoners are far more polite than the people I interact with on a daily basis here. Londoner’s say please and thank you, and are more considerate. We aren’t fake. A lot of people are pretentious here and lack basic manners. So I wholeheartedly disagree with you.

@johnmitchell2269

Pretending to care is worse than not caring imo. At least one of the two is being honest.

@JanMorristheadminmaven

London is a hugely busy city. Go anywhere else in UK, it is very different. London is full of tourists too, so some of those rude people will not be Brits.

@graceygrumble

70% of people in the tourist areas of London are not from the UK. That's a conservative estimate.

@thebeetreesknees

If someone is bumping you and not saying sorry, they are a tourist. We say sorry when you walk into us! 😂

@JimboJimbo-i4i

Not having a conversation when you don’t want to or in a hurry is surely not rude?

@anitagu21

We are not rude we just don’t care enough to pretend 😂😂 it is what it is

@MustardKingCustard

Go to any major capital city in the world and you'll experience the same kind of behaviour. It doesn't define a country, it defines major city life.

@chalkie247

This lovely Canadian definitely needs to spend some time outside of the cities!!
Nothing better than stopping to say hi to an older individual and 30 minutes later you’re still leaning on their front wall pondering whether they should see a gp about the pain in their little toe! 🥰🥰

@annienewton3999

I like that he had our backs here !!! He did double check him about us being ‘rude’ or simply not into just chatting to randoms. 😊

@junglejuice3536

In my experience it's mostly mainland Europeans who won't move on pavements, bump past you in a shop, or on the street, and that's different to the actual Londoners who live there and usually have basic friendliness and politeness at least.
There are sooo many tourists that it'll skew your view of London!

@rbettsx

At least they say "sorry" before barging you into the road. Give 'em a break. 😊

@grishawinner6727

Most big cities are like that. New York is similar .

@fashionistaxVx

Bumping into each other?? 😂😂😂 ...Thats the Non Londerners! Your right though londoners dont give a fuck, we have places to go and people to see, we dont have time for the fake talk 😂

@sodhafamily-u7n

Good luck with that moustache, mate! Once puberty hits, that thing will look sharp! 😂

@DaveBrown-e4k

Come to Portsmouth Rob someone will chat about how you are but when your finished your bike will be gone

@Abigailking23

As an English person I would tend to disagree with that on a whole. In London some people can be rude.

@soloplays4557

Some people don’t want to be bothered, they might be stressed out and have things on their mind already. It’s not rude if you just get on with your day without talking to complete strangers

@davidz2690

The best small talk i had in london was with people on the train north
