@AedelFrance

i was at the point of throwing away my notebooks after getting discouraged for not having a college degree and settling. imposter syndrome has struck me hard and this roadmap solidified my belief in myself. I too have only been learning for intensely for a few months and thought it wasn’t enough time to have credibility. Today I officially finished designing and developing my website. I’m so thankful for people like you, Rachel for making this type of knowledge accessible for people in my situation. To anyone on the fence as I have been for the past few months, please please please do not give up. Even small steps every day will add up, keep track of your learning in case you start to doubt yourself so you have something to look back on to realize how far you’ve come. I believe in you and i believe in me and i believe in us!!!

@tharushi-c7x

Love how you break down each step. Even though I have attended 2 boot camps I was left behind because I couldn't understand where to begin. Now I know where to look, learn, and find a good job. I am documenting this as of the 7th of March 2024 because I want to promise myself, you, and anyone else reading that I will land an internship/job before this year ends. See you at 31st of December 2024

@krishcshah

Love how you allow us to decide how much we wish to pay for this roadmap. How generous of you, really appreciate it :)

@vegaister12

Anyone reading on 2024, just a few corrections:
1) There is no linear ux process in the real world, everything in the list is a tool, and you as a designer must choose what tools are appropriate for each project.
2) Don't make a beautiful and designed resume, instead make on in word or google docs so its ATS readable. Only if you talk directly with a designer user a hand crafted resume.
3) Market got over saturated because people trying to sell course over promised. It will be very hard for you to break in the industry, not impossible but very very hard.
4) Make real projects not just mocks. There are many open source communities who seek design guidance, join forums, reddit etc.

@lauraheard1676

You know you're a ux/ui designer when even your youtube videos are designed like a website 💯

@sarthakkathayat

The way you talked point-to-point, it seemed as if you've been a product designer for your whole career. Certainly shows your consistency and practice.

@lululemonbar9110

I just want to say I'm so happy I stumbled upon you. I'm a neurodivergent/adhd mom making a drastic career change now that my daughter is in University. Working in finance/healthcare admin never felt natural, it was always a struggle. I'm naturally an aesthetic person and love technology, ... but I'm not the most technical person .... Yet I'm still very interested in becoming a UI/UX designer! You seem like a younger, more focused version of me which inspires me! LOL. I've subscribed to you on youtube and your website. THANK YOU! 🤗

@Mousymusic

The top video timeline bar is so awesome, Raised my respect for you instantly.

@soobaeks9309

This is literally a gold of a video, since i’ve watched this video I’ve been following this exact methodology to self learn UX with little experience and I have landed a UX job at a big consulting firm in 2 months.

Thank you so much for making UX so accessible!! I have been struggling so much with money I had no funds to attend bootcamps and this pushed me to go forward and just be confident with the information I absorb! I absolutely love your channel please keep making content like this 🤧💛

@ZoeysMusings

This was my sign to keep at self-taught UX design🙏🏽. And I appreciate that you said we need to know why we want to become a UX designer and not be doing it for the money or because it's trending. Excellent video, Rachel. Thank you!

@quocbaonguyentran3811

A fantastic YouTube channel for those who are new and seeking guidance in the field of UI/UX. I hope you continue to create even more valuable and informative videos. Wishing you good health and continued success!

@e.t1031

Thank you for the clear and practical guide. I’m currently shifting from digital marketing to UI/UX, learning by myself and practicing while freelancing. Your video has inspired me a lot. Wish I could have a mentor like you during my journey lol

@Priya-wp6fg

I really appreciate how passionate you are in your work.. The way you explained in depth with each and small thing shows how skilled or how good your way of learning is

@talksinbolehland6004

It's definitely not easy to self-taught things you have no idea about, more so if someone wants to switch careers for it. The work you have been doing has been very inspiring and we hope you continue to flourish in the UI/UX scene.

We also appreciate these explainer videos and please keep them coming!

@fatinp.8269

Thank you so much Rachel! I'm at the point where I'm feeling stuck at my self learning journey, this roadmap really helps a lot! Appreciate it really much! You're amazing!

@leochoome

I'm a frontend developer with a bit of backend/infra experience as well, but I've realized that I enjoy the process of UX design SO MUCH more. I'm now transitioning into UI/UX - Frontend developer role ;) Pretty excited. Thank you for this video. this helped me figure out where I could get started.

@raeljoyce

I bought the roadmap at a small amount I can afford. I am almost done with my UX internship and I am going to learn more and self-study using your roadmap. Thank you 🥺💕

@lal556223

When you read $1 to trial for 7 days, you think to yourself "what's the catch?" The catch is a $300 charge for an annual plan regardless of your decision to continue or not. You can find most of the insight on Google, YouTube and many other free newsletters and forums. Avoid the site at all costs, the 7 day trial is hook to acquire your card details.

@MohitSharma0813

You are really a UX Designer Rachel you know what your viewers need. Your videos are really helping out, I can't thank you enough dear! Please keep sharing more such information.

@BUTCHER0606

I'm in my 5th course of the 7 courses with coursera. I can't wait to start looking for jobs! Thanks for making these videos! Very helpful
