Love your videos, I'm in college and still not sure where I want to go in cyber security. These videos are helping me narrow down where I want to go in this industry!

@jeffnaval4894

I want to be just like you when i grow up. Im asian too doing nerdy stuff.

@Nate-wn1lk

Thank you for this video! It helped me to decide which path to choose in my cybersecurity journey!!❤

@nicolotiozzo86

Jono, you are a legend mate! Love your videos, so informative and useful! Would love to buy you a drink, I work near Brissie!

@kerwinramirez9368

Been loving the videos! I am coming up on two years of Help Desk experience. What would you recommend me doing now to try to get into a Junior SOC Analyst role?

@SMYTM427

Thanks for the video! An analyst is what I'm hoping to be once I have more experience and this is exactly the kind of video that I was looking for to learn about the responsibilities of each tier. I just have 2 quick questions: What certifications would you recommend having to get a tier 1 analyst position? Also, would you need / recommend other certifications to be promoted to a tier 2 / tier 3 analyst?

@JumperNYC

hey, great video are the salary ranges correct? it seems to low especially for a NYC range

@zojirushi1

Do you feel that cybersecurity is more enjoyable than full stack?

Full stack web dev feels like it moves way to fast, too competitive, need tons of take home coding assessments, algorithm/lc questions. in person coding test, behavioral, system design, mb take home web app project as a test, tons of rounds of interviews, new tech framework or lanaguages every few months. Everything constantly changing but not always better. And is hard to wrap your head around this fast speed of development. Also constantly have to read up and learn the new fancy tech of the week.

Cybersecurity seems more down to earth. Interview questions are actually relevant and more based on experience, how you respond and react given a cybersecurity scenario, certs, projects, etc. Are you able to stop working once your hours end. And have good work life balance? Is your day to day as a SOC analyst usually the same you know what to expect since you’ve seen mostly everything before and it’s same response and plan to defend, contain, stop, etc.

When everything is good then basically aren’t doing much. And then when phishing, exploit, hack, etc are found then you do a little more work. And cybersecurity doesn’t change as fast as fullstack.

@852inmelbourne

Hi! Thank you for all the great videos. I am an international students studying Master of Cybersecurity in Australia. I saw a lot of jobs ads which requires PR / Citizenship for a cybersecurity roles. Do you have any advice for people who want to get in to the industry but do not have PR statues? Thank you! (I am in the first year of my Master and also finished Google IT Support and Cybersecurity Certification)

@zojirushi1

So SOC is more like blue team? And ethical hacking is red team?

@mosaif5500

Do you have a discord by any chance? I tried to look for it but couldn’t find it.

@bibekchoudhury9019
